They were not.

But ain't it cool we got them?

Its always cool when you hit the jackpot on a 1/1000 shot. And yes. It is cool.

Its also a real pisser that we messed up so bad on Hill.

Its also sad that Corey Brewer did not help us last year when we were desperate because he was perceived to be as not good as Jordan Hill.

I agree about Brewer. I think someone made a case that Brewer's contract was part of the issue in keeping him.

Is that why he couldn't play when he was here?

One mans garbage is anothers gold.

can we still complain about Reezy gettting traded?

Whats the statuette of limitations to bitch about a traded or waived player?

Like Fishy said, it's the agendas.

If someone disagrees about how a guy taken with the seventh pick was handled they have an agenda?

No. I would post why but I would be accussed of having an agenda.

That would be evil for a person to accuse another person of having an agenda.

Hill was not good in NY. Hill was not good in Hou. Hill was not good in LA for 99% of the year. Hill has had a several good games recently so the "what have you done for me lately NYK fans" will cry about it while ignoring that Hill is not better than anyone on the current Knick frontcourt and the fact that the Knicks have two great young players (Shump and Lin).

In hindsight, better to have not gotten rid of Jordan hill because Lebron did not come.

the revisionist history is great

in 24 games with the knicks jordan average 4ppg and 2.4rpg in 10.5mpg
in 127 games with houston (one full season and parts of 2 others) jordan averaged 5.6ppg and 4.5rpg in 15.5mpg.

i'm glad the light finally went on with jordan.. all it took was playing with kobe, bynum and gasol.

Hill went to Houston and played ahead of Jeffries and Houston really was trying to make the playoffs that year. Time heals wounds and I did not follow him that closely in LA but his positive contributions were talked about on ESPN radio on several occasions after the trade. If you think that Jordan Hill was given a fair shot and that the coach attempted to develop him while he was in NY then we disagree. Hill and his situation was mishandled horribly in my opinion.

Hill or this years top (1 protected?) pick should have been kept.

No. We should have kept the pick(s) we sent to denver - that sounds better.

We got McGradyBury - I wonder how happy MDA was about that or did he not approve that? McGradyBury was also a huge fan of MDA

Jordan Hill has averaged 5 and 5 for the year and has had like two decent games in the last 30ish days and many many DNP's before that. SMH! He is not better nor half as good as any current Knick frontcourt starter. Just stop it. I can agree with complaints about the Knicks drafting Hill over Jennings. I can somewhat understand complaints about the Melo trade. However, any complaints about Jordan Hill being traded are essentially drivel and absurd.

I never said Hill was better than Tyson, Amare or Melo. Most front court players in the nba aren't as good as those guys. I also do not disagree that Jennings might have been the better pick and there was speculation that Jennings wasn't drafted because his immaturity and possible character issues would not have fit with the previous coach. MY point all along has been that you don't sit your lottery pick while Jeffries, Bender and the rest of the gone at the end of the year vets stink up the place. There was no reason for Hill not to be developed and it ended up costing the Knicks Hill and a top 5 protected pick to get cap space from Jeffries deal. Hill is developing and filling a role. He never had that opportunity in NY and the team was playing for nothing and the guys getting the minutes were not apart of the future and not that good.

Can't believe we still have threads about this guy, but then again atheletes don't need to live by any rules. As long as they are high draft picks and rojected to do well in the NBA, all is forgiven. Model citizen this one.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

apparently jordan's game isn't the only thing that hasn't matured - neither has he.

Jordan Hill is a bench player. Dude is content to collect a check and rot on the bench.

I'd bring him back for the LLE. Not like he is totally useless.

Just remember Kwame Brown got 1 yr at 7 million. That puts things in perspective.
