And with the notable exception of an April 5 win at Orlando — 25 minutes, 15 points, six assists — he’s been invisible

I forget if I even watched that game, but that stat line isn't bad. If we got 15 pts and 6 assists out of the PG position for 48 mins, that will be the most production we've gotten out of the spot all series.

I think TD couldn't handle the pressure of being the PG to start the season. That was too much, and he probably tried too hard & thought too much.

If I'm the coach, I'm telling Toney - look, we're desperate. We have nothing to lose. There is nothing you can do in terms of bad play to make this worse. Go out there, have fun, and be yourself.

We have no one on this roster starting that can penetrate and get open for his own shot or set up team mates. TD is the only guy left who has shown the capability of getting open.

At least see what he can do..we know the kid can play if his mind is right..Nobody is saying start him, or play him down the stretch..But to sit up there and say(woodson) that he's not playing because there's not enough minutes..is an utter joke, and disrespectful to any player.. Thats like pulling up to a parking lot with only one car parked in there and the attendent telling you..were pretty full today...UHH!!!!

I think Toney should get some minutes at PG. But that being said, he's not getting the minutes, so he must have done something to be put in this situation. For now, I'll leave it to the coach's discretion. We don't know the full story here.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

TD sucks. That is why he is not getting minutes. He has been an unmitigated disaster all season for the most part. LoL @ comparing TD to Marbury. Also, Dantoni stopped playing Douglas early in the season after it was clear that he just would not get the job done.

So MDA ruined TD!

Another reason to celebrate!

Lets not celebrate our victories or accomplishments, lets find new ways to discredit MDA and rejoice the dawn of a new era!

There is no comparison Toney Douglas has stunk up the joint the entire year so Woodson has seen enough, Dantoni didn't even let Marbury play even though it was clear in the preseason he was in great shape and the best player on the Knick roster
No layups!

We are rail thin at pg and when woodson was ask what he plans to do if lin can't go, he said bibby will start and jr will back him up..When ask if he plans on using TD, after a long pause he said, will see how it goes..WOW..will see how it goes? are you kidding me

I know TD has been pretty brutal the last 12 months with the exception of a game here and there, but it's almost like woodson doesn't think TD belongs in the NBA.

Right now we couldn't trade TD for the opposing teams mascott..This is crazy..

HAVE you watched DumDumDouglas in action? If I was coach I'd start my grandmother over him too. All Dude had to do when he was given play time was to dribble down court and give the ball to Melo or Stat. Instead what does he do, run around in circles (Passing to no one) until the clock runs down before either chucking up a bad shot or passing to Jard Jeffries on the perimeter for a brick. Dude is stupid, no basket ball IQ.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Toni ruined Toni. Woodson on more than one occasion tried to give him playtime and each and every time he looked like a chicken with it's head cut off, running around flapping his wing but, not doing anything else.

So wait, last year, and the hand full of decent games he had this year are a mirage?

Please. playing JR Smith at the point- would be ok if the dude was actually making shots.

We're past being worried about whether toney is going to make a dumb play or cost us the game. Its Game 5, and he is the only healthy guard left on the bench who can dribble faster than a dead snail, and maybe actually hit some shots.

Toney isn't going to lose the game for us - we have everyone else that can help there.

Woodson needs to take a chance, and see if Toney can't make an impact to help in a position that we are decimated in.

A handful of decent games. Really? I watched ever game this season and every time DumDum got in the game he played like a brainless vegetable. Wait, I do remember 1game when he started off well but after the first few minutes, the wheels fell off and Woodson yanked him. Dude has become a chucker who seemingly won't pass to Amare or Melo...just came onto the floor looking for his own show which is broken.

I'm with you about him playing good last year but the good play ended weeks prior to the playoffs. I blame that on the shoulder but, all this shows is what an epic failure this year is for him. There is a reason most of the posters here agree with my assessment because dude has fallen way off.

Something else must have been going on.

i'm thinking it's his shoulder. last yr, he was one of the league's best 3pt shooters.

So was Landry Fields.

Woodson seems like he's pulling a MDA/marbury move with TD
