And with the notable exception of an April 5 win at Orlando — 25 minutes, 15 points, six assists — he’s been invisible I forget if I even watched that game, but that stat line isn't bad. If we got 15 pts and 6 assists out of the PG position for 48 mins, that will be the most production we've gotten out of the spot all series. I think TD couldn't handle the pressure of being the PG to start the season. That was too much, and he probably tried too hard & thought too much. If I'm the coach, I'm telling Toney - look, we're desperate. We have nothing to lose. There is nothing you can do in terms of bad play to make this worse. Go out there, have fun, and be yourself. We have no one on this roster starting that can penetrate and get open for his own shot or set up team mates. TD is the only guy left who has shown the capability of getting open. |
