They have found success by adding a roster that truly goes 10-12 deep-and using that depth to win a lot of games and by big margins. We have seen our own depth and how it can create success. We have lost depth by injuries. My opinion is move Amare to 6th man like the Spurs have done with Ginobli and work hard to fill out a 12 man roster where we use 9-10 guys--and they bring it. The Knicks we see today isnt the team we have--Lin Shumpert Amare Davis shot etc.. we can retain most of our guys and be prescient like the Spurs in filling out the rest. But the BIG three thing is over--our big three is no match for Miamis--so we need quality depth and health.
A plan of execution needs to be implemented also. That part starts with a coach. Need a coach that is bigger than the star players so there is no BS.
is Spolstra bigger than Wade/Lebron? I cant even remember who's coaching the Lakers... the dude from Cle? Brown? Scott Brooks was great in that April fools joke w/ the Knicks. He's bigger than Durant? Westbrook?Wake up people. The problem is the PLAYERS. If you want to know what happens when you award mentally weak players with the mantle of greatness just look at the Knicks.
The players did get to the playoffs. Why is it that when a team isn't winning that the players are Mentally weak. I think the Knicks players we have are pretty tough mentally. Woodson is not a bad coach. The Knicks need an edge and confidence boost adding Jackson give the team an edge, besides what better way to weed out the Mentally weak than by a coach who can spot it and turn them into a confident bunch. The Knicks have overhauled the team so many times already and the Knicks haven't had a mentally tough player yet? This is a different team from the past team. Its been really unlucky with Injuries at the most crucial time.
There are two coaches I would like coaching the Knicks Phil Jackson or Sloan. But Phil is my first choice. With Phil there is no not buying into it, because if a player isn't buying into it than a player is not buying not winning. It's proven system. What better way to get Melo and Amare doing other things than implementing a triangle system that is predicated on movement and execution which holds the whole team responsible for a successful execution.
This time money isn't a factor it doesn't go toward the cap and it's a no brainer.
