Since Lin can't help us on the court maybe he can do some off court work...Maybe he can locate Bron's moms and get busy and tell Bron about it just before game two...Hell just lie about it, he'll be too worried it might be true ..

I would start Fields again and start penetrating thier defense and being quite aware of the heat flops. If a heat player gets in your way knock his ass down and make him feel your charge. Hurt him! If you are going to be hit with a charge make sure he feels the charge. Melo must start Knocking down shots and making sure every one gets involved Make sure that you cut down on turnovers. Bibby will have to step up and play some big minuets

While this formula was used last year by Dallas with JB and JT in the backcourt, how exactly are we going to accomplish this with Field, BD and Bibby unable to beat their man off the dribble?
The only capable player at this, is JR, but his decision making is not the best after breaking down the defense.

There are no adjustments that we can make. The two areas where you need to kill these guys are center and point guard. We don't have a center that can punish inside of a point guard that can get to the lane.

Woodson needed to play fields more in game one. I think Smith-Fields-Melo-Chandler-Novak needs to be used more in game two. Melo played like a bitch in game one and Lebron pushed him around. He needs to get to the block and punish guys inside and open things up for everyone else

If you're losing a game by 30 points, just take it easy. Come back in Game 2 and tie the series up.

The Clippers didn't relax and were able to come back against Memphis last night - no reason we can't do the same.

Without Shumpert

I would start

5-Chandler
4 Carmelo
3 Fields
2 JR Smith
1 Davis

Bench would be

6th Man Stoudemire
7 Novak
8 Toney Douglas
9 Bibby

Reasoning

When we move Carmelo to 4--he becomes a mismatch problem for their PF and we have more space without Amare and Chandler in the line up to start the game.
Im going to use Amare as a Kevin Mchale type 6th man> He will come in at 5 minutes first Q for Chandler and he will be on the floor anytime that Carmelo is out--basically he gets all minutes from the back up 4-5 combined and play small amounts with all 3 guys. JR and Fields moves into the starting line up to give me more perimeter balance and I brush off Toney Douglas as my perimeter wing guard in the 2nd unit. We got outplayed on the perimeter badly---this enables us to spread the floor--bring in the best player in anyones second unit with Amare and creates more space for our best player Carmelo.

Yup. We need a center like Dallas had last year to beat them.

playoffs are about who gets hot at the right time in some ways. who is rolling. unfortunately, knicks have been injured and banged up two years in a row.

the fact that our best guard went down with a season ending knee injury two years in a row in game 1 is insane. the fact that our best big man has been extremely limited two years in a row sucks.

this sucks. the heat were a bad matchup to start with, but it'd have been nice to at least be a little healthy when facing them.

While this is true against most teams, the Heat are the exception, Lebrom is just as big but quicker and stronger than Melo, so there is no advantages.

Is it just me or is it kind of crazy that Woody didn't do SOMETHING different to get Melo the ball DURING the game?

I can't watch any more possessions where someone on the wing burns half the shot clock staring at Melo fighting 2 guys to try to get the ball. Love that Woody had everyone playing with intensity on defense and everything but this series is going to show whether he can hang with the van gundy/lawrence frank/spoelestra crazy living in the film room guys..

Not really down with PJax but perhaps an offensive assistant for Woody would be nice..?

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

I guess that would be a viable second option.
