I really hate to see a player like Rose go down with an ACL tear..Hope he recovers quickly and doesn't effect his explosiveness..Lots of money riding on this too..Just signed two big contracts..One with the Bulls and Adidas paid him about 250 mil for he next 15 years..

I don't know about any prior-history, I just saw the torn ACL thing on the ESPN ticker and posted it here.

I don't know if it will come to that. The job he did coaching this year probably is enough insurance but I'm surprised that a coach with his smarts, knowing Rose's history, would take such an unnecessary gamble like that.

I didn't mean he would be fired for letting Rose play at the end, but Chi had every opportunity to renew his contract and hasn't done so. I think they were waiting to see if he could go deep into the playoffs,and I don't think that will happen anymore.

DARN this has been the worst day in Knicks basketball in recent memory. 35 point blowout, Shumpert gone, piss poor refereeing costing us the game in Q2, Lebron going ape **** on us. I can't take it any more --feels like our playoffs are already over.

I'm just hoping for a FULL recovery for Shump. He has so much talent and he's only just beginning. It's a terrible blow at the start of a kids career. Get Well Shump!

Update on Iman Shumpert: MRI revealed a torn ACL and lateral meniscus tear. He will undergo surgery in New York and is out 6-8 months.
