Also, Knockout Miami & Chicago in the 1st two rounds and Lin can take his time coming back for the Finals!

Strange Feeling BD shocks the world in the playoffs and plays like his old self if he can finish the regular season well rested. Got a glimpse of it last game

this... BD has always been a big playoff guy. He's coasting, trying to get his body back and some bounce. He's not done.

Agree- he was looking pretty good until the hamstring problem, then looked awful as his injuries increased. If he can be reasonably healthy by the playoffs (and he looked much better physically against the hawks), then hopefully we won't miss Lin.

What I like about this team is that Melo, Amar'e and BD all seem to have stepped it up in the playoffs in the past, and so did Tyson last year.

First he's got to get full power back in his knee, then he has to get in shape, then he has to get in basketball shape. It's not like the regular season, where a player can ease their way back- it's the playoffs, when people are playing at their peak, one rusty player can lose their team a game in a matter of minutes.

Lin won't of played in 6 weeks if he does return, and it'll be the second or third round of the playoffs. At most he might play ten or so minutes off the bench- maybe he gives us a scoring boost. Have faith in the rest of the team- they're playing well. I know you're a big Lin fan, and that's all well and good, but try being a KNICK fan and you might enjoy the rest of the season more- we have a nice mix of personalities on the team and they're easy to root for.

YOu kidding? We talking the "Golden Child" one with super anchient powers!

Lin comes off the bench, MSG puts in a "GONG" sound effects, the place goes nuts, mystical fog rolls in and the dude just goes off on Linsanity!

Best to keep him off the court until some form of expectation can be met.

His legend has grown to a level of I don't think he can play into.

I have to admit During Linsanity I told my wife during a game the sadest thing would be if this kid blew his knee out and never returned to form. It would be like a cruel movie where he "prays" for success then the devil snatches it from him in some bizzare twist of fate.

Im glad its minor injury and his prognossis is good.

Will Lin be the Knicks' Jameer Nelson? Will Baron Davis become "Skip to my Lou"? Who knows but if they get out the first round I hope they let Lin come off the bench. Seeing how woody treats rookies, I know Lin is not technically a rookie, he will probably move him to the second unit which will be needed. Also the minutes Davis play will give Lin plenty of time on the court and him on the second unit will be great for that unit and him and Amar'e could wreck shop in the 2nd qtr when STAT plays with the second unit. Yes this is thinking way ahead but that's what some fans do. "That's just what I do!"

IMO, it's see you next yr Lin.

I doubt Orlando loses to the 'Cats but they maybe having Ish Smith and Duhon playing the point for that game so there is hope.

honestly, I think it's good he got injured now and hopefully reigns it in a bit. I hope he picks his spots a little more. He's obviously really good when he attacks hard... but he more often than not gets hammered, falls on his chin, and starts bleeding. A little more orthodox for most of the game and saving that for the end of the game, perhaps?

The latest:

While working with one of the team's trainers, Lin, wearing a brace on his left knee, gingerly side-stepped to receive passes on the left and right corners of the foul line to shoot jumpshots. Occasionally, when he got the ball, he would execute a few different dribbling patterns -- some crossovers, some behind-the-backs -- leading into a jumpshot. Afterwards, he took some free throws and then did slight knee-ups from one end of the court to the other twice.

Overall, Lin's basketball moves looked sharp, but he moved very gingerly and methodically, and was hardly getting off the ground. At one point, he almost tripped over himself once moving side-to-side, which caused him to be even more cautious.

So probably still about 3 weeks away, at best.

Lin left the practice without talking to reporters.

I guess somebody at MSG is finally listening to Charlie Brain Barkahlee

I cannot wait for this kid to come out and pull a Willis Reed.

2nd round, here we come! It has to happen for the good of humanity!
