I don't think you can say "his defense was good last year" about any knick player.

I meant that it was better than this year from fields

Maybe ... I don't know - hard to gauge.

Thats fair im not saying he was shumpert or anything he just seemed more into it than this year where he is just a ghost it seems

I just looked it up. Under antonyms, it referenced Landry's jump-shot.

It looks like Fields is no longer a starter! My man woody always with the right decisions.

Well we had a choice between keeping fields or gallo and we kept fields. Now this not a gallo vs melo comparison but imagine gallo being our sixth man or playing the 3 while melo played the 4 that would have been nasty

Denver was really going to send us Melo for Fields and the rest of the tripe we sent? The air might be thin in Denver, and Gallo obviously can't sponge mop Melo's jockstrap at this point in their careers, but Fields?

There has to be some reason he's starting over whatever else is left on the bench. Linsanity hangover? More time invested with the first unit? Pictures of Dolan with underage farm animals? Maybe he's Dolan's secret investment manager?

Someone told Fields that you have to flick your wrist when shooting. Rest ball in the hand and use the elbow, use the elbow to create force to shoot do not rely on flicking of wrist to create the force if you do that you will have a flat shot.

I remember I was watching a show with Red Aurbach he had Ainge and Bird describe their shot. Bird said his shot is more of a throw. I watched it and later went to the park and practiced throwing the basketball like Bird. Very effective style shocked more players don't shoot like that.

Glad he's going to the bench- he is now playing exactly like he did this time last year- pathetically. A real shame, as he seemed to regain his confidence for a while.

I missed those shots, keeping with the thread title - did they have arc?

They don't have much time for practice and when you make a change it starts to play with your head.

Don't understand why so many have given up on this kid so soon after the success he has had.

We need him for our success going forward.

I doubt JR smith comes back next year.

If good shooting were that simple, we'd have a lot more and better pure shooters in the league. Your entire body is involved in shooting and the good shooters have a grasp on how to use it and the great shooters have mastered it.

His whole body just seems stiff for the record and that's why I say that. His shot looks akward all around.

I just want to say...that when I saw Houston sitting behind the bench...my first thought was, don't really remember seeing him travel with the team for a road game before.....then my second thought was...I bet he's working with Fields. After seeing one shot from Fields that confirmed it for me....wasn't surprised at all to see Fields credit Houston in the post game...dang I'm good!!!!! I called that one from the couch :)
