It's possible they collapse and only take 2 of their last 7, in which case we need 5 of 7, which I could easily see happening. Still would have to say the odds are against us moving up, but it's no longer a total longshot. If we can beat Miami, things will get very interesting.

We should absolutely win the New Jersey, Cleveland, and Charlotte games (just need to show up and not play down to them). I'd hope we can split the four games between Miami, Boston, Clips, and Hawks. All down hill after the next two games. 5-2 is my goal.

Howard can add weight and still be effective because he doesn't rely on speed.

Amare then took off 20 lbs of that new physique in order to regain some explosiveness, which happened. He will find the sweet spot, learn some yoga, do some Pilates and be ready to dominate. He's not stupid, and I'm not sure I could say the same about D12.

I'm not buying that "gained 20 lbs of muscle".

Gaining muscle doesn't make you slower, you become more explosive.

I think Amar'e, bless his soul, talks too much.

Amen! And the best is when he talks about playing defense and establishing an identity and being held accountable on the defensive end

It gets stranger still- according to this article on CBS:

http://www.cbssports.com/nba/blog/eye-on-basketball/18536504/dwight-howard-has-a-herniated-disc-in-back

the time for recovery is 14 to 16 days- which I'm pretty sure is nonsense for a herniated disc- especially if you consider it was 2 to 4 weeks for the less serious bulging disc Amar'e has. So someones clearly lying- I wonder if they told him to go away until the playoffs, or whether he decided to take a break until the playoffs.

You never know. It's one way for public another way in-house. Way it should and has to be.

Back injuries are easy to put some dust clouds over. It's why they are preferred injury for insurance fraud.

Rest up big dog, redeem melo brand, hit em hard round 1; win win.
