i think everyone is excited but last ngiht perfomance was not what we've seen thsi team do the last few weeks. We dont have time to let games get away so the hustle and defense needs to be there the rest of the way

Against the best team in the NBA and by far the top defensive team? In Chicago? And they were competitive for most of the game? Really? C'mon!

Hey look you are right the Bulls are a good team even withotu Rose but i didnt see the same effort that i saw the last few weeks thats all. hopefully they were just tired and tonight they will come out like they did against Orlando and the bulls on sunday

Loved the 90s team. This team plays very good defense. I love it, but the iso offense is just ...blah. The 90s team shared the ball. Made back cuts and just played fundamental basketball. Right now, we play iso ball or bully ball.

How different is it from Patrick Ewing taking 10 seconds off the shot clock pounding the ball backing his guy in, then another 4 seconds and 5 steps to get a shot off across the lane for his patented fadeaway jumper?

I do miss how this team played with Lin. That said, I'm glad Melo is ON again. I do think the two will be able to co-exist. If for no other reason than "Who else is scoring on this team?" We need Lin as an additional scorer for sure and Stat as well.

I think we don't have much of a choice right now but to give the ball to Melo as he is the only one scoring well, (if JR is off). It ain't as fun to watch as when the team was humming with Lin as you just can't compare a known all star player in Melo to an underdog Cinderella story in Lin. It's nothing against Melo right now from my end. If it's against anyone it's the cast around him that are not doing their part. Melo should have quite a few more assists than he's been getting. Fields can't hit the side of a barn, Davis is injured, Shump is inconsistent on offense and Chandler is not a scoring center.

I do hope we get to see more Lin this year.

I think the biggest part of lins game thats miss is his penetration, his abilty to get to the line. lin gets more FTs in 2 games then bdavis in 2 wks..and douglas does in a month..You remember the game before his last when he made 10 ft's in the 4th qtr to essentially win the game..

Absolutely, absolutely. In Lin you have a guy that will penetrate the ass, he'll dish the rock, or he'll drain the J. He'll do it all for you, and he brings the intensity of an ocean.

I miss Lin as much as anyone but he is gone he is not coming back til the 2nd rd at very least. The Knicks have been winning without him. Do we need him ABSOLUTELY! If the Knicks were losing and the season was down the drain then I understand crying about missing Lin but for now they have no choice they have to move on without him

Interestingly, Grant Hill has just been cleared to play 2 WEEKS after having surgery to repair a torn meniscus- wish Lin healed that quickly (I think there was a thread on this, I just can't remember if that was here or on another site), but he's not even due to start running until next Thursday. Sounds like with Lin they must have repaired the tear, rather than cut out the affected bit- which is better for him long term, but will take longer to heal.

It's obvious to me that Lin is delaying his return in order to get Woodson fired.

winning is never boring. We've seen numeorus styles of play with these since for decaded. Cant speak for the Willis Reed Knicks because I wasn't around. But I do know, that Hubies Knicks were exciting mainly because I couldn't wait to see Bernard King score at will with the sweet baseline jumper. We all seemed to enjoy watching the pressing-three-point happy Pitino teams. Van Gundy's Knicks had zero offensive imagination, outside of Patrick holding the rock then rnning across the lane with that sweeping hook.

Since Woodson has taken over, this has been the most exciting brand of basketball (11-4) in a very long time.

my goodness 15 games? it is funny.. discount 8-1 with dantoni and lin.. 11-4 and this team is world beaters... Jeez...

we are boring and we can't consistently beat good teams....bulls made the game exciting sunday..

So we beat the Bulls, Magic and Pacers in back to backs and we cant beat good teams?! And you have to be kidding when you say the Bulls made it exciting. So those two Melo clutch shots weren't exciting?

i think what he meant was that the Bulls had 4FT's to ice the game and they failed to hit one. thus, they made it exciting by leaving the door open for Melo's heroics.

you know what I find funny.. when people do this... i say.. " I hate going to work on sundays" and someone responds " You hate going to work?" funny how they leave out the "sunday".. I said the knicks don't beat good teams consistently..

we beat the bulls and then lost one, we beat the pacers and then blew a huge lead vs the pacers.. we beat a magic team that had just as much turmoil as the isiah led knicks... lets have some perspective... bulls made the game exciting meaning.. had deng and rose hit one FT each, just one.. Game is over....
