Why would they? Luol Deng is much better suited to guarding Melo.

Because Booze would have to guard fields or Shumps.

Exactly. Last game they had Noah on Amar'e and Boozer on Chandler. I doubt they are willing to put Noah on Anthony although he is a multi defender Melo would kill him off the dribble. SO if they do go Deng on Anthony and Boozer on Fields/Smith then Fields must slash and drive all day. One thing I hope Woody stress is Rebound and Defense. I am interested to see how Anthony Rebounds. I think he needs to start off getting everyone else involve and just pick his spots to start.

Stressful game, stressful week ahead of us. How come it seems like we and the bucks have won nearly every game lately but we're both still hovering around 50%?!

The thing to remember is that the bulls aren't just Rose- Noah, Deng, Boozer and his painted-on hair and their bench are all challenging. If we play defense like we're capable of, that still won't be enough (bulls can match it)- we need a good offensive showing too. It would be great if TD had a big showing.

Everyone knows we have to win this game, it's going to be a tough, tough challenge and the odds are against us, but let's see what happens...

If I am Chicago I sit Rose for today's game. Give him an extra 2 1/2 days to rest his groin injury. Those types of injuries don't go away overnight and better that Rose be ready for the playoffs. They have 1st place pretty well sewn up.

Of course that would help us and that is also my angle. Without Rose, we should win. And we need this win very badly. Milwaukee is only 1/2 game behind us for 8th place.

They should rest him, but I think there's some sort of disagreement between Rose and his coach- one of them seems determined to rush him back and the other wants to take it slower. I think rose is the one who wants to play today, mainly because he has a big ego and likes the attention he gets playing in MSG.

If you read his most recent comments he said its not up to coach when he plays, it's up to him.

I want Rose to play today. These next 2 games I want the bulls at full strength. This will be a good preview of the playoffs and gives this team a glimpse at how it would be when the post season begins.

If we beat them, bulls fans and pundits would just use the excuse that Rose was rusty so they weren't at full strength, ignoring the fact that we have no Amar'e or Lin, and BD is banged up.

I think, if anything, it's the other way around. Thibodeau seems like a coach like Doug Collins or Scott Skiles; someone who has his team go non-stop all game, every game

I think Jeffries (if he's playing) should guard Boozer and Chandler should guard Noah. Boozer is basically a mid-range jump-shooter in Chicago's offense so hopefully they don't leave him open.

I'm hoping they don't start Jeffries and move Anthony to the SF spot. He's playing so much better as a PF.

I think that is what they will do (move Melo to PF) as it's JJ's first game back. Also someone has to guard Taj Gibson and keep him off the boards. JJ may be better at that coming off the bench.

I wonder if Jorts would be able to come off the bench and guard Boozer and especially keep Boozer off the boards. Jorts is very good at boxing out. Boozer is a bull(265 lbs) and may be able to push JJ around, but not Jorts.

Starting lineup will be the same. Jeffries is going to take Jorts' minutes, but not all of them. This is good because Jeffries versatile D is so useful against a tem like Chicago. He can guard Noah or Boozer or Deng depending on the situation. Very excited for this game. I think this one at home is a must win. Glad Rose is playing as well.

The Knicks defense may have evolved into the best in the NBA! Is that possible? Just looking at the quickness we have and the length, this starting 5 is getting pretty impressive. Hey when are we gonna get that Woody Smiley
