I think Van Gundy will get fired on his own merits if the Magic don't make some serious noise in the playoffs. That being said, this was a brilliant move by him. He will be able to walk away with his head held high. These Van Gundy boys have a knack for bailing just before they are about to get canned.

I think he knows that he is gone and he wanted to let people about Howard. Can't blame him. Howard has looked like a jerk the entire year and now if SVG goes it is on his hands. He should have forced a trade.

Much worse than anything Melo "did or did not do" involving MDA's departure. Dwight stone faced lied in front of SVG's face and the media then he lolligagged it the whole Knicks game (0 pts in the 1st half). At least Melo made an attempt to make it work with MDA, Dwight just didn't give a Fark.
