And when Jordan was 30 he was also a beast. How does that help us?

I was just saying Amare was playing well with melo under woodson. It sucks he got hurt but they were doing well with both of them so lets see how it plays out. Also his contract is very difficult to move

We never have any luck with the lottery. remember when we missed out on Rose and the Bulls got him even though they had a small chance to win the lottery. man we have really helped that team the last 6 or 7 years

We got Ewing with first pick due to the lottery.

People keep saying that we don't have any first round picks in the foreseeable future. This simply isn't true. Our top-5 protected first goes to Denver this year, first rounder goes to Denver in 2014, and Denver has the right to swap in 2016. Assuming we don't make any more trades, we'll have a first rounder every year except this year and 2014.

So we have one first rounder (which Dolan will probably trade) in the next 3 years? Does any team in the NBA have fewer in that stretch or are we at the bottom?

Thomas and Walsh traded all of the Knicks picks that they could. Dolan was involved in the Melo trade and maybe that first rounder should be attributed to him. Thomas seemed to think nothing of trading picks and Walsh used them to clear cap space for the summer of 2010 (i.e. the McGrady that could bite the Knicks in the @ss if they don't make the playoffs).

Isiah traded for several picks too, though. Walsh just didn't seem to care about them.

Dolan made the Denver trade. What is also pretty obvious is that Dolan made the Houston trade. Don't blame it on Walsh. Walsh wanted to trade JJ and Hill for cap relief. Giving up a first round pick and the ability to swap picks last year was a Dolan move.

It's hard to get lucky in the lottery when we consistently traded away our lottery picks and picked the wrong players with the ones we kept.

Amare insurance? Can we somehow bring in Lamar Odom somehow in the offseason?

Melo can play 36 great minutes a game at PF. We don't need a new PF just to have insurance for Amare. We should try to trade Amare for a backcourt player or SF although that might be mission impossible.

Looking at that is so depressing- I'm sure we didn't need to give Denver TWO 1st rounders (the 2016 one is going to hurt) in addition to Gallo, Wilson, Felton, Mosgov etc.

It's tough, because you can throw out all the names you want, but can the knicks really trade Stat for any of them???

Should we revisit Brand??? Could get a Anderson or Ilyasova???

Could ever get a guy like Jsmooth or Bargs???

Would love to get Ilyasova...don't think it's possible though.

oWnS Amare Stoudemire, any day of the week

Like I say few guys in NBA got that weak chin' in game of hoops...

Amare is a nice guy, skilled pro.

But guys like MDA and Amare coach and player you can bend them & break em' also. Not Tough enough school!

back to Amare again its good Knicks dont have to play NUGGETs again
Gallo is back

But point is that new guy K.Farried tweener PF is type of player if he went up against Stoudemire in a game
Amare would ask out.

I can seem Stoudemire having all kind of issues offensively and defensively against Kenneth Farried whom is
shorter than Amare.

Go Figure
but I like Farried and he is tough, Amare isnt there yet.

Sorry, I meant Dolan will trade the player. I know he can't trade the pick. I agree we should be buying picks but that's not Dolan's approach.

Wait, you mean Dolan won't buy/pay anything for more than it's value? When did this happen?

Way I see it, Amar'e's value will only decrease with time. He will never again increase his value. It's all downhill. The sooner you can dump him for ANYTHING, you gotta do it.
