This Crazy, Condensed, Unpredictable Exhilarating Soap Opera Season

You think it was loud when Willis Reed walked through the tunnel before Game 7?

Wait until Jeremy Lin walks on the court for pre game warmups for Game 5 of the Miami Heat Series.

You ain't seen nothing yet.

If my memory serves me right, Starks had the same surgery in 94. He was out 3 weeks.

Perhaps if he would have stayed out longer he would have gone 5-18.

Stop Playing Doctor

GoNyGoNyGo - there is no such thing as "the same surgery". Each and every patient - and meniscus tear - is different. The only means of determining the amount of damage is by inspecting the removed tissue after the procedure. Will Lin need the crutches or discard them after day one? Rehab is also different for every person. The first leg extensions hurt. And that is just 5 pounds.

We, and Lin, would be wise to take it one day at a time.

Ok. I will play the patient. Is that better?

As having had meniscus surgery myself, I will tell you that I at age 25 had surgery and was able to play softball 8 days later although limited . A month later, I was able to go full out.

You are right that everyone's tear is different and that it heals differently. My only point in posting that was that no one knows how Lin will heal. Everyone says 6 weeks, it could be as short as 3, or longer than 6.

Oh and by the way, the Starks injury was also listed as a 6 week recovery time. (before you kill me for that one, look it up, I did.)

hopefully Lin can be the same player as he was pre surgery. Starks never was as explosive after surgery.

At this point, John Starks holds no particular interest unless he can take some of Baron Davis' minutes

A. Nope. The only patient I care about is Jeremy Lin.

Let me get this straight. Playing softball with your homies after work. Playing in the National Basketball Association with the most elite athletes on the planet. Okayfine. You win.

Who is this "everyone" you speak of?

If everyone was jumping off a bridge, would you do it?

Ahhh, someone is having a bad day.

What is your problem? Wake up wrong side of the bed this morning? No cheerios for breakfast? Left hand leave you Blue?

Relax. IT's a discussion, these are opinions. You need not agree and you need not release your frustrations in life on me either.

Chin Music: by definition

GoNyGoNyGo - don't be a crybaby. It's only some friendly chin music.

Most major league hitters don't even flinch when they get busted inside by a fastball.

sheesh.

Please, Don't Confuse The Answer Man With The Boogey Man

GoNyGoNyGo wrote:Whatever..you win. Feel better?

Dude, it is not about winning. It is about trading opinion without taking things personally.

If you think I am out to get you, think again. It ain't a competition. Could care less. It is just an exchange of ideas.

Jeremy Lin will make a dramatic entrance. Book It.

If we draw 8th seed, we should shut the boy down and let him get strong for next year. No sense risking reinjury in the hopes of making it to the second round. Even if we somehow miraculously beat the Bulls/Heat in round 1, he needs to recover 100% before he goes back out.

Its not like these guys get off the couch and then start playing. He will rehab and if he can't go, he won't.

He has contract considerations to think about. he won't risk it.

Don't worry, knicks might be dumb but they are not stupid.

Lin will be back before the season is over
