I think a good number of Novak's 3's are sometimes at least 2 or 3 feet beyond the line also.

WE'll Match Lin

Can we re work Chandlers and Amares contracts for a contract for Novack??? I would do it.

I think Baron leaves and I hope JR stays.

ya i think all we have to do to match lin is the mid level right? If melo and amare defer some salary that could help us bigtime but it remains to be see if they would do that? JR I think has a player option so it depends

i think Fields is still going to be a RFA next yr? i think they extended the RFA contracts to 3yrs from 2. i'd let him go after that.

we have fields bird rights i think? Although fields has been very off and on. he plays better with lin but shumpert has really overtook him now

Ya Fields has taken a big step back. remember his rookie year he was fearless even more than lin during linsanity. I mean he played great defense,he rounded, and he even hit the 3 point shot. Now he looks like scared rabbit

But... That only applies to Novak.

Lin is a different Story.... http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/7583558/nba-how-new-york-knicks-keep-jeremy-lin
There is no chance we lose LIN....

Baron Davis is still getting paid one more year by the Cavs... so I see no reason we can't keep him if he wants to play for us.
JR Smith... We will probably lose because we cannot keep him unless he picks up his player option for next year.

no prob.

i think that we keep Lin without a doubt.

i think that Baron might not wanna finish his career as a backup to Lin. but perhaps i'm wrong about that.

i think JR gets a bigger offer elsewhere. but he might entertain picking up his $2.5M option.

i think Novak is the dude we probably lose. he's gonna get more than the minimum. maybe not Kapono money, but he'll take a good chunk of someone's MLE. of course, we will likely have to dip into our MLE to keep Lin.

we'll see how it plays out. very rarely do guys forego more money for the better situation.

Yes, I think Novak's staying will come down to money. We were the first team to give him a shot so he is probably inclined to stay, but money always talks. I think Smith and Baron are gone.

agree with you on most of the guys leaving. Baron still gets his money from CLE next year, so no monetary reason for him to go.

I feel Novak is the primary one because we dont have any other great shooters. jr is on/off,shump is still working on it, and fields has changed his shot for some reason with horrible results lol

A year ago, Shawne was the guy I REALLY felt we needed to retain. He pulls a Benedict into the swamp, and we luck into Novak.
Now don't get me wrong, Novak is the first guy I want signed after Lin's done, but the great thing about replacing roleplayers is that it is more than doable.

JR is the guy I don't mind if he bolts. He's my Brandon Jacobs.

Tom Thibodeau is openly upset with the lack of a competitive contract offer from the Bulls, according to sources.

Thibodeau signed a two-year contract in 2010 and was named 10-11 Coach of the Year.

Via Marc Stein/ESPN

This would be awesome if we could sign him. I highly doubt it could or would happen. One can wish.

Briggs boy JJ Hickson tore it up yesterday for the Blazers. We could've picked him up to replace Amare a few weeks ago when he was waived by Sacramento

Knicks need guys who can stay healthy.

JR Smith is gone.
Davis wants to start.
Novak is a minimum salary play. He will just get a 2-3 yr minimum contract deal.

No bull****. I'd offer the NJ Nets Amare and Lin for Deron Williams.

That's a bit extreme. Despite all the criticisms of his shooting, his FG% is .470. I still think he was a great 2nd round pick and on a low salary, hope he's here for a while.
