We have outside shots. What we need is low post drive up to the basket more. We need to foul the opponents. We got scorers, both starters and bench players. We are getting better and better at defense at #5. We need to foul, foul, foul. Back when Phil Jackson yanked Bynum out of rotation when Lakers were not doing so well, he told Bynum to attack the basket and make sure he fouls the opponents or else. They got shooters, especially with the one everyone knows, Bryant. Later on, Lakers got better as Bynum realized his job, not perimeter scorings which he did quite often, but low post offense. Well, Lakers won and look at Bynum now, banging up opponents while drawing out fouls.

We need all our big men to do that. Hell, even Lin tries to do that and constantly gets bloody nose.

KnicksFE - I am struggling to get your point as it relates to the New York Knicks.

Mike Woodson don't need no steenkin' "go-between."

And you are basing this on what? The nine games he had coached here so far or his six years in Atlanta?

KnicksFE - where is the money for KG coming from?

Go young

I was hoping the 5.5 million exception, obviously, that’s only if Lin resign for one more year at minimum so we can have his full Bird rights after next season and sign him for an even bigger contract.
While I truly wish to go young, I also think we need a strong character on this team, some that can keep the players on check when they relapse on effort.

Absolutely not! Playing games like that is how Cleveland lost Boozer to Utah and why Minnesota lost five 1st rounders and the NBA voided Joe Smith's contract.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

Nalod - The Answer Man has total confidence that Iman Shumpert will have the 2 on lock by his junior year, if not earlier.

Our issue is insurance for Stoudemire's lumbar region and Jeffries apparent fragile history.

I'm holding out hope that Jorts will develop into stretch 4. He's not a freak athlete, but I think he will continue to improve if he gets playing time

Mr In Between?

Mike Woodson, as a student of Red Holzman, Bobby Knight and Larry Brown will do things his way. The beauty is that he is a people person. At an exclusive luncheon yesterday in Atlanta, Woodson was personable and mingled with former players with ease. There is a confidence and comfort with Woodson around people. He owns the rare mix of being disciplined without being heavy handed about it.

If you took the time to read Woodson's bio, you might learn more than some secondary gossip from beat writers.

Men like that do not need ambassadors in the locker room.

I’m not sure you are correct since technically Lin will be s restricted free agent and no team can offer more than the mid level exception. Which we also have.

Well I would suggest to you to stop reading Mike Woodson’s Bio and instead pay more attention to the actual NBA games because then you would realize that he own a 41.9% winning percentage for the regular season games and a 37.9% for the playoffs as a coach. While your theory sounds good, (and I hope you are right since the more success he has the more the Knicks win) I’m not going to crown nobody as the next big thing until they actually accomplish it on the court.
