^100%
Yes, evidenced by the Philly game (Novak 2points).
One bad game does not equate a trend. You are welcome to try again
Try, Try Again...
Assists broken down by player to Novak during current 7-1 Woodson stretch(Both 2s and 3s made):
Iman Shumpert - 7 assists
Baron Davis - 6 assists
Jeremy Lin - 3 assists
JR Smith - 3 assists
Carmelo Anthony - 1 assist
Jared Jeffries - 1 assist
Landry Fields - 1 assist
Mike Bibby - 1 assist
Points scored by Novak during 8 games:
Portland - 20 pts
Indiana 1 - 12 pts
Indiana 2 - 6 pts
Toronto 1 - 6 pts
Philadelphia - 2 pts
Toronto 2 - 15 pts
Detroit - 8 pts
Milwaukee - 7 pts
So what we can take from these numbers are that:
A)Novak plays the majority of his minutes with the 2nd unit and occasionally with 1st
B)Shumpert finds Novak the best, followed by Baron
C)The point totals tell the story. Indiana clamped down on him the 2nd game after seeing him the 1st which backs my orignal scouting claim. Toronto and Philly scouts no doubt saw the Portland game, if not, then the Sportscenter highlights when he and JR traded 3s the whole game. The 2nd Toronto game was a fluke, because they were getting blown out and playing catch up the whole game.
D)Novak is a situational role player (a Damn good one) and should be counted on for only 2 or 3 buckets a game.
