Urgh- looks like both Lin and Amar'e are currently listed as 'Questionnable' according to Hahn's twiter, Lin is practicing now, Amar'e is not (says he's recieving treatment- awful sign).

Here is a chance to re adjust our starting lineups.

Amare being hurt, has been playing "decent" defense.

Fields just doesn't have the quickness to guard Ellis or Jennings.

unfortunately we won't have Jeffries, his foot speed and defense will be severely missed.
Telling Amare to guard Ilyasova is like inviting a 3 point shot.
We have to play Man to Man defense, without help majority of the time. We just can't rotate fast enough if we are going to double team/cheat early.
We cannot allow Gooden to play well, Boston *KG* locked him down with his length, thus blowing out the Bucks.

Here is a chance for Melo to play PF, so he can get some good looks to post up.
I really want to see what he can do, to get a sense if we can use him at PF for playoffs when it permits.
Of course you would need, 3 point shooters to spread the floor, so we can have good spacing.
While I think Melo will have a hard time defending Ilyasova, because Melo doesn't like to guard shooters, especially with such length and skill.
I want Melo to pound his ass to tire Ilyasova or Dunleavy out. Maboute or w/e will probably be used to defend Melo unless he starts at PF.

We are bad at defending the 3pointer, while Bucks can shoot lights out, and are quite versatile.
While Jennings is a touch coverage because he can penetrate, the 3 guys above him should NEVER ALLOWED set/squared up for the shot

Ilyasova
Dunleavey
Delfino
Jennings

Monta
Udrih

Gooden isn't a bad shooter especially for the 5th option, he will try to pull TC or whoever is defending him, utilize his post ability, his edge on centers, while looking to feed cutters, or the open man.

Steve Popper twitter: "Amar'e expected to get his back treated today and a game-time decision - but teammates don't sound like they expect him to play."

And also from Steve Popper: "Also, JR Smith was kept out of morning shoot around with a stomach virus - but the Knicks expect him to play tonight."

We're in bad shape going into this game, Bucks probably smell blood.

This Amar'e back injury is potentially an absolute disaster for this bucks game, the rest of the season and amar'es career- please just be a minor tweak and be healed!

so I'm assuming then that the starting lineup would be

Lin
Shumpert/Fields
Shumpert/Fields
Melo
Chandler

???

I think it would make sense to put shump on Ellis as well as keep Fields in the lineup to contribute on the glass

Why all of a sudden you're concerned about Amare being out?

Had we all forgotten about the Linsanity streak when Amare/Melo was sitting on the bench? I smell another 20+ point games for Lin.

If JR has the stomach virus (see Hershey Squirts) that my entire family had this past weekend...he will be achy, tired, and dehydrated...keep him out.

Because a) we were just getting on a roll with Amar'e- he finally had his game back after a season long slump

and

b) Lin has a sore knee- it will hinder his drives to the basket and his defense- he might not even play.

and

c) No Jared Jeffries to take Amar'es place- he was key during the Linsanity stretch.

Yeah tonight is not going to be pretty. Plus even when healthy the Bucks always hand it to us.

Im feeling productive today

Here we go with the act of the day:

Arrested Development

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arrested_Development_(rap)

Frontman Speech is coming out of: Milwaukee

Personally I just learned very late about them, sometime around 2008, but the 3 Years, 5 Month, 2 Days... LP is not leaving my car. Ever! Superb LP, musically and lyrically!

Still one of my favorite songs:

Not from this album, but very dope:

Have fun. And: Beat them Bucks!

He plays when his back is loose. Why let him sit and tighten up?

Guys have to play with injury and team will likley take precaution to some degree.

If he sits for two weeks to rest, then loses his conditioning then he is also prone to injury. I figure it takes a week to get some of that back. So if we let him rest, we could lose like 3 weeks. By then, we could be done.

Play him. If it gets worse, then you shut him down for while. Dem the breaks!

Be careful. Don't get hurt.Copyright 2011 Nalod, LLC.

Do you ever tire of being right all the time? It's got to be a heavy burden to bear...

I'm more concerned with Lin's sore knee (despite hysterical rumors to the contrary, we are going nowhere with BDiddy in the starting lineup) and Jort's lack of burn.

I want to see
our improved version of DLee
hitting the occasional backbreaking 3
and helping Captain Tyson play actual D.

it would be nice to get Lin some rest... he's so important and this is a tough year to be, essentially, a rookie starter

What do you mean give him some rest? What do you think he does when he goes home? or in those between game days when they're just practicing for a few short hours and takes the rest of the day off.

That is pretty much the definition of bad right there.
