More reason why I was calling for Dantoni's head after losing 9 of 10 before Linsanity happened or before the boston game & stupid Philly & Chicago game when it was evident he lost the team during this 6 game losing steak

MDA didn't lose the team. The team was fractured by the fight between Melo and MDA. Not to mention the lack of effort by STAT. The biggest reason that this team has looked so good last 2 games is that the starters never got this kind of effort from STAT and Melo until MDA left and then all of a sudden they knew that their excuse was gone. How could they go out and not play hard now? It would only expose them as the source of the problem, which it still did, cuz we can see that they clearly could've always played this hard.

STAT and Melo as we've been saying before MDA left were the major culprits in the team losing. Ever since they both came back neither guy has really put in Max Effort. STAT due to laziness and Melo due to being selfish. Now magically they're playing hard??? Come on!!!

Logic will get you nowhere.

Oh I can't wait for - the team started winning because we changed the coach, so it must be the coaching threads.

These last two games more than anything proved that Melo's sulking and Amare's lack of leadership and their willingness to use MDA as a cop out is what killed the chemistry in the team.

Once the NY media focuses on building a library of faults for Woodson based on conjecture and speculation from BS tweets by players and other "sources", this pattern of behaviour by our "all stars" will return quickly.

Woodson was aaked a question during the postgame last night and he said that is something we keep in house. I don't anticipate that happening with him. I also don't remember reading anything about D'Antoni from players other than after the sweep in the playoffs and stuff from his first two years when he struggled with some of his players.

You don't think the media will start finding faults with Woodson when the next 3 game losing streak happens? For real? This I want to see!!!

Everything every player ever said about Woodson in the past will be spun out of context to prove why he can't coach. How many coaces do you need to see the same treatment applied to before you understand what's happening? Plus there's always those trusted "sources".

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

They win and Knick fans are truly excited about this team or they lose and Dantoni's reputation is salvaged and the I told you so people come out of the woodwork?

Way to change the subject. No one is rooting for the team to lose. We are expressing our opinion of why the team is winning and that it has nothing to do with the new coach. In my opinion this will not last for long, because of the same reasons Linsanity didn't last. Melo will go into sulk mode and the team will again suffer because of it. We can keep hiring and firing coaches and ignoring the problem.

So, let's see how long the good play lasts, and when its over, bam- we bring in a new coach. Then when they stop playing good for new guy, bam - we fire his ass too. We just have to get the timing right, so that we go into the playoffs with a brand new coach and a brand new winning streak.

sounds like a plan just change the coach every 5-10 games going into the playoffs! Herb's up next Brilliant!
