They really thought that they were going to build some powerhouse 1-2 punch, move theri funk azzes to my home borough and attempt to take over an area that has been KNICKS territory for over half a century???

KARMA dealt with them, and continues to. Let Proky and his cronies spend theri marketing dollars to push saps like Kris Dum-phries and Gerald Wall-ass as the face of their team as theyt open theri new arena later this year.

That's WTF the Nyets get. Go on and SUFFER. I can't wait to walk the 16 blocks to that feces-colored arena to waqtch my Knicks wipe their butts with the Nets.

I would go to Nyets games just to check out the new arena in BK, the same way you go to Citi Field for empty Shake Shack lines or Star Wars Night . Move down to the lower level after halftime, feel like I'm a celebrity

I bet Dwill goes to Dallas, Orlando or LA

I have no doubt he's gone for Dallas, his home town

Deron Williams has confirmed that he will not opt-in as Dwight Howard did with the Magic on Thursday.

"I will not op-in," said Williams. "It's not monkey see, monkey do."

Williams also said that he wants to retire with whichever team he commits to in free agency.

LOL... I wonder if they will treast me like a celeb if I am Knicks geared down when I go there?

Without getting arrested, I hope for the opportunity to get to center court and spit on the Nets logo, and stomp and grind it into the paint.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I think Gerald Wallace is a solid addition for them. And they had to do SOMETHING to convince DWill to stay once Dwight fell through.

That said, DWill is most likely leaving this summer.

Poor Nets.

I used to post on that forum all the time just to bust balls about 8 years ago. The guy that started Netsdaily was on there all the time back then.

I can't believe Dwight Howard plans to stay in Orlando next year. I hope he doesn't blow all of his prime years with such a ****ty organization like KG did.

I suppose if they get Bropez back, with Gerald they can make a run out of the lottery and build from that.

Personally, I don't get it either. Wallace looks cooked at times and this draft is going to have some sleepers in it.

Maybe Nets feel the need to Starphuch going into Brooklyn?

Maybe this "Chess game" is being played over our heads and we don't get it.

I know Im not getting yesterdays trade on paper.

Maybe Deron said "get me Gerald Wallace and I'll stay, don't get me rookies that will take 3 years to develop.

Next year they get to play the Dwight sweepstakes all over again.

I agree about Wallace looking cooked at times. If he can get his intensity back a frontline of BRopez, Wallace, and Humphries is very good. Lopez's lack of rebounding certainly wouldn't be an issue.

To be honest, a lot of players looked cook at times on the Blazers. But I agree. They're are a lot of young wing guys with potential in this draft, plus I can't imagine it would be hard to get someone serviceable in free agency. The Nets will have plenty of cap room once Deron Williams leaves.

that was a pure panic move after getting burned on Dwight. I just imagined there'd be better panic moves to make than that though. That was a pure Isiah move

On NBA TV they said Deron said he isn't going to exercise his option and is going to become a free agent.

He never seemed to be the thinking type. At least Lebron made the right choice but he did it in a way that pissed everyone off. But DH by himself may be able to get them to the finals again after that it's all about getting a little bit of luck.

Remind us ago all the great work the rod thorn did lately?

Drafting Wright over Granger? Drafting Shawn and Terrence Williams? Trading Ryan Anderson for Courtney Lee? Giving away Lee for nothing?

Signing Travis Outlaw to 7 MM per?

He did a terrible job for years and somehow the NBA likes to recycle bad coaches and front office people. You traded for an 11MM contract and gave up a draft pick. Fucking embarrassing. They should have traded.humpries for a pick tanked and rolled the dice. Wallace isn't keeping Williams.

you know what would be great for the Nets. If they win the lottery or get a top 3 pick then getting Wallace actually makes sense. Maybe Billy is putting all his chips in one basket

Dwight acted with his heart instead of his brain, and now he is forked. And the Nets are forked.

This is a tragedy.

But Dwight is such a force that I can see them in the Finals any given year.

After this season, Hedo's contract has only two years left, so this might bring some value, to someone.

All Dwight needs is a point guard. Just like D'Antoni.

I respect Dwights decision. If he had left for the Nets it would destroy Orlando and the Nets still wouldn't be an elite team. He is in a better situation than in Jersey/Brooklyn for the immediate future.

A lot of people are piling up on him because he flip flopped, but he has a right to. The guy wants to win and he is concerned about his legacy - I have a lot of respect for that.

ESPN scrolled that DWill plans to opt out at the end of the year - I think the Nets are going down hard.

Yeah, but that is because he wants to sign a longer max deal. He still can resign with NJ but it looks like he is going home to Dallas. Now maybe Dwight goes there the year after.

That said, NJ is sure taking a big giant chance. Looks like Gerald Green is playing well for them - on a pos note ;-)

that would be insane but I don't think Dallas can afford dirk dwill & D12 unless they restructure

True, and it would be better to just get him out of our conference and area! (Deron I mean). Either way, NJ is going to have big cap room, I'm just not sure there are many big FA's out there...

That's true. If he left, we would be bashing him for leaving Orlando in little pieces, like Stalingrad!

To my brain, the moral of the story is: do not request trades! Or be more smooth in your ways!
