I don't think this is going to be a 0 or 1 situation. The plays will center around Melo or Stat, but then Lin or the other shooters become the next option. Melo's good enough for this. The problem is if they don't pass out of the double team or fail to hit Novak, JR or Lin when open or with a clear path.

I think Lin can ball hard and that he is an All-Star in the making.

To stump his growth would be a tragedy, a spit on the game of basketball, it would be something worthy of criminal charges!

I think this article is trash; lots of implying and using quotes from different contexts to get a point across that gets site visits. Kind of like all of the articles, now that I think of it

If Lin gets burried again then there will be some pretty pissed off people in the world. If they are treating this as a business then Lin should never lose his starting spot or minutes. If they are treating this as just trying to win basketball games then Lin should never lose his starting spot or minutes.

If Woodson wants someone to control the tempo to cater to Melo then the only move he can make is starting a Lin/Baron backcourt.

come to think of it, Lin played his best ball with the second unit, so what's the problem? If JR can start hitting the 3 with consistency, he should be starting also.

Davis/Smith
Melo/Stat/Chandler

Lin/Shumpert/Fields
Novachek/Jeffries/Jorts

Lin needs to continue to start. He is the future at the PG, that shouldn't change. If they want to increase Davis's minutes, then great, but keep Lin in his role. No need to damage his confidence even more. I expect him to be a good PG who will average 12 and 8 in 30 mpg. Eventually i think he becomes an all-star who will average 15 and 10 on this team. I also think we need to start JR Smith. I can't emphasize the need for a shooter in the starting lineup enough. Novak is the shooting spark off the bench. We need a shooter in the lineup.

It's not overreaction but foresight. I see farther down the pike than most.

Call it a curse, call it a blessing; it's the way I have to live my days.

Put it this way: to make everything smooth sails, Melo has to evolve overnight and become something he has never been in his career, a well-rounded teammate. The flashy flashy drop-the-buckets will take us only so far. Lin is a casualty.

Dolan doesn't get effected by the critical mass so he's not going to care if people are pissed. Lin might be the peoples' player but from a business standpoint, Dolan gutted this team to get melo and whether you like it or not, he's your franchise player so he's going to cater to him. Lin is just another supporting cast member in this greek tragedy.

I Can live with JR starting with Davis, shump, fields & novak off the bench providing plenty of scoring. Really warming up to the idea and think it will happen cos Woody wants to keep his job. Bring shump along slowly as he continues to work on his shot

I think it will happen too. And if JR isn't consistent throughout the rest of the year, we should look into some options over the summer like Courtney Lee or Brandon Rush. Spot up shooters who are strong defenders. Those are the guys that fit in this lineup alongside Melo.

Isn't Dolan all about the bottom line? The more money coming in the happier he gets? If he kills Linsanity then say goodbye to the international market. Asia ordering telecasts of Knick games will stop.

I ain't sold on JR yet. The only semi-pressure shot he has hit were in the first game of the Mavs. He had now worries when he was draining threes against Portland.

The only thing wrong with his shot is confidence

You you saying Lin can't adapt.

Lin can adapt to many things, but he was soaring high and now his wings have been clipped.

Melo and Woodson want to bury the guy.

Woodson: "where I come from, rookies sit and learn".

Melo: his behavior under MDA, sulking and breaking sets, unwilling to adapt to Lin being the Big Kahuna in the offense, nuff said.
