I enjoyed finally getting a win & hope for a NBA playoff appearance just like everyone on this forum board.

What DJ didn't care for is dumping points & extra showboat pouring on whipping to Beaten already down & out Portland Blazers
Team which had their Bench players & coach Nate McMillan irate.

This is NBA and Pro sports you need to show some class.

I'm kinda surprised but shouldn't been that leaders Coach Woodson, nor Melo Anthony nor Amare (fake) had something inside
of them to perhaps talk among each other to try to tell bench role players to cut it out & stop embarrassing the other
team in a game already out of control 10min left in 4th Quarter

With this I am embarrassed as Knick fan which to me tarnished an already good night & must win Victory.

This is not the kind of thing that goes alway (Showing no class) and definitely you can bet
will come back and BITE Knicks in their arrr_ssses one day soon regardless if make playoffs OR not.

You also got to know other NBA teams watch this kind of stuff and importantly get more DISRESPECT for NY
and the KNICKS club and Knicks dont need that! NYK need all the breaks they can get now

The NBA and most teams disdain losing to NY Knicks before,
and showing no class in games will even spread the talk-chitter chatter if Knicks need to get bumped from NBA playoffs
then this kind of classless showing does them no good in the short term.

Hope some will learn from this one day!
Iman Shumpert, JR Richards guys whom play hard but love to exhibit their CHUCK-NESS powers in game of street ball.

I Am no Mike D'Antoni fan but that kind of classless showing also shouldn't have occurred when several knicks coaches
lost their fulltime pro jobs

This is NBA we dont need it & I'm surprised!

NO Class in Knicks on night we didn't need it!

Whatever "class" this organization had just walked out the door before the game was played.

This team is made up of a great group of guys. Novak said earlier in the season that this was the best group he had ever been around as a professional. There is a lot of character on the team. If not, I think they would have had a Portland like uprising earlier in the season with all of the frustration and losing.

Yeah - maybe they are too nice. And soft.

I would rather them be mean muddafukkas!! Like my 1994 knicks team. When is the last time we saw the knicks care enough to have a good old brawl. JVG hanging on Alonzo's foot - it all starts with the coach being a bit of a prick and having a mean streak that gets instilled in the players.

Maybe MDA was just too nice for NY. Like when Crocodile Dundee came to Manhattan for the first time and he was saying hello to everyone on Broadway in rush hour They all looked at him like he was from Mars.

I want to see a fight!! Grit!

That is exactly what they should be doing. Their 2nd unit is out there and these guys don't get much playing time. They have to do what they can in the time they are given.

That is absolutely true. Mike Breen can go suck an egg if the Knicks blowing out an opponent is too much for him to take.
Ridiculous that anyone would complain about a blowout win after the chaotic season we have been through.

shump doesn't get any playing time?!?! give me a break. that was classless on his part.

championship teams don't celebrate like a bunch of giddy chimps—especially against an imploding team that doesn't want to be there.

You know on Alley oops and extra 1 legged 3 pt shot attempts
if Novak or JR Smith, even Shumpert (dunk styling) got CLOCKED by some tee-ed off pissed off Blazer Scrub
and 1-2 of these Knicks got injury by Blazer players when Game already decided, then we'd all have different
discussion about how guys shoulda or coulda not been in game to play a way where injury was a definite possibility

If you wanna say losing JR or Shumpert bench guys to serious injury cause of BLAZERs showing classless act to hurt
a Knick I'd say it wasnt worth it. Thats 1/3 or more of bench if people got hurt when it didnt have to happen ..
if this happened last nite.

Lets be happy this did not happen this time!

There are some factors to analyse here:

1st, the crowd was as active in a blowout as I've ever seen. They were demanding those 3s from JR and Novak, as well as the open court dunks when possible.

2nd and very related to #1, as crazy as it may sound it looked like the players wanted to exorcize their past demons, make it the lost coach, the lack of effort and emotion in games, or simply the emotionally bad day they were all having (because like him or not, it has to be tough losing your head coach mid season).

Im sure Portland didn't like it, especially losing by 42. They will remember it, but any team that loses by that much certainly will. But they are going through the same process and I wonder if they suddenly have a game like that, will they hold back out of respect, or enjoy the best stretch they've had in weeks with the crowd into the game so much?

Knicks handled their business after this play....by scoring another 50 points. I really don't see what the whining is about
