Gerald Wallace is a free agent although he has a player option, I'm pretty sure he will test free agency dumb move by Nets in a deep draft this year

ha shawne Williams goes from new York to the mess that is Portland. Never got the infatuation with Shawne. Would've been nice to have kept him but we easily replaced him with the cheaper Novakaine. Really starting to think MDA winds up in Portland with Jamal, felton & shawne. Would be good for Felton esp

Kudos to the Knuggs for recognizing "buyers remorse" that is Nene. They guy had a great contract year and then became the Nene of old.

They can try to work with McGee or let him go free agent and are no worse than had they not signed Nene.

There, I said it. Knuggs are some decisive MOFO's.

Portland fired coach Nate. I'll give Dolan credit, MDA departure was done with class and grace by both parties. Portland is rude.

desperate squirmy move by the nyets. I thought it was a good move til I found out it was a lottery pick only top 3 protected! Now they lose everything in less than 6 weeks LOL

I thought there was more protection. This is one of the stupidest trade I've ever heard.

Dolan had nothing to do with MDA's departure. D'Antoni resigned. If it had been the other way around, let me assure you it would have been the epitome of classless and lame.

What is up with te Lakers. They don't want anyone to stay? First they mess with Gasol, now they trade the one guy who had some pull on Kobe. They are just imploding.

Didn't feel like creating a new thread for this:

Was reading Hahn's live chat today, and one comment about Ronny Turiaf (who made his way to Denver in the McGee/Nene trade) caught my eye.

If Ronny Turiaf gets bought out, perhaps the Knicks could consider bringing him in to back up Tyson? The hand is still hurting him but it's going to be an issue probably for the rest of the season. One of those injuries. He's toughing it out.

Made of glass or not, I'd welcome back Ronny.

They found a bad way! Wallace is a nice player. If the pick were top 15 protected, I'd be on board with the trade.

I don't consider front court depth an issue. I'm with you in that I would play JJ and Jorts ahead of Ronny, but I'll never complain about an extra 6 fouls from a serviceable big man at the end of the bench. Especially when it's from as great a teammate and locker room presence as Ronny.

Maybe I'm just nostalgic from last year, watching Ronny celebrate.
