The Triangle would be so pretty here! Lets leave that to Phil if he comes here. He is a smart man as was Riley when he came here and adjusted to what the Knicks were doing or needed to do.

As far as his health? We will have to find a way to get over that.

You're gonna have to make a more convincing argument for why you think this roster would fit the triangle. I don't really see it. None of our bigs are career post players! Only Melo is truly comfortable with his back to the basket. It would be interesting to see.

I think Amare could play the part because he can turn and square but again, if Phil thought it would not work then he would either not take the job or deviate a bit. At some point we need to respect a man with 10 rings even if he did it with HOFers each time. Same for Riley, Aurbach etc ...

I just hope he comes here because he is Phil Jackson and he can possibly do here what Riley did and at the same time command respect from his players.

Is there a reason why Phil Jackson would even consider coaching the Knicks? He must know some deal is going to happen next season that makes him want to coach the Knicks.

That would be some craziness if a rookie enters the league and becomes like a second coming of Kobe Bryant. That means Phil went through 3 mega stars Jordan/Kobe and the unknown future star. And it would just as crazy if he 3-peats with the Knicks.

Maybe he misperceives Melo as a star who could run the triangle offense?

I hope Woodson coaches his @ss off. Not a fan of Phil or his smug attitude from all the way back to his running with the Bulls days. I know he wins and I am sure I would warm up to him if he won in NY but he was on my most hated list for a long time.

I hear ya and hated him too. Loved when JVG called him Big Chief Triangle, but like you and everybody else, if he comes and wins here, we will kick into high gear of selective memory.

Sorry, not happening.

Jackson only coaches championship caliber teams with elite hall of famers.

Jordan, Kobe, Shaq.

He's not coaching these idiots.

Caught Shaq on the NBA channel last night, he was saying if he were Phil's agent he would ask for 20m/year. His thought is that Phil is a proven winner. Shaq wasn't too bad paired with Rick Fox. He seemed more comfortable than with Kenny and Chuck.

Phil's legacy will not be tarnished. Y'all are giving Dolan too much power. He will not be able to handle the master manipulator and zen master.

Pat Riley?

Pat Riley left in bad terms with Dumblan. Everyone knows Dumblan is the dumbest douchebag among all NBA owners and so I don't think Phil will have to worry about what happens to him when he leaves Knicks. I think the ONLY problem is why Phil should eve bother with Jim Dumblan, whom nobody can work with. This is like saying let's date Kate Beckinsale, but her dad is a homo and would definitely, almost guaranteed to lick your anus and balls while you're asleep and there's nothing you can do about it except leave Kate Beckinsale. Would you consider it?

Pat Riley didn't leave on bad terms with Dolan, Dolan didn't rise to his current management position until 1999. Riley butted heads with then President and CEO, David Checketts, because Riley wanted an ownership share of the Knicks, which then ownership ITT Corporation rebuffed.

Richard Beckinsale died in at age 31 of a heart attack in 1979.

But I gave it some thought.....

Im not into guys at all. But if this guy wants to do what you said........

I might consider it.

Might have to see how it goes with Kate first. Not Richard Becknisale crawling up from the grave and into my ass mind you, that won't work.
But in a drunken stuper, say once or twice a year 31 year old Richard, with kate, maybe some amazing grade coke and some great mushroom buzz I might go that far. And you did say "In your sleep" so I might not even have to halucinate and run the risk of a heart attack. !

In my sleep, 31 year old fresh non-zombie Richard with all the kate all the time and if needed some kinky drug enduced out there story to tell my friends. Rock star kind of Jagger-Bowie-Warhol-Lou Reed kind of weird thing. Add some some lesbian angle and you might have a good movie.

But I think there is a much better chance of Phil taking the job than me even meeTing the lovely Kate, let alone getting a zombie anal tongue bath!

Phil Jackson has interest in possibly marrying Jeanie Buss and becoming the de facto owner of the Lakers when Jim Buss self implodes. Using the possibility of leaving for another team is a leverage point and an ego boost.

Bill Parcells used to play this game all the time in the NFL, dance with a suitor he had no real interest in to drive up the price and drive up his power.

Why would he want to come, aging and hurt, to a capped out team with a coach killing chucker and a guy about to fall apart on an uninsured contract with nothing else but minimum salary guys?

You paint ugly pictures, but I cannot say they are far from the truth.
