He sure was sulking tonight with 7asts. No team concept there.

Let him cry. He is sad. The correct thing to do as a good human being is to show apathy to the fallen, sad and disenfranchised

Sorry I can't do that, I'm just as rude as Melo.

so melo has no excuses now, right? if he doesn't lead the knicks to the playoffs and some wins in the playoffs, that makes him a massive failure, right? now that he's gotten his way? he'll lead the team to the promised land and defend and stuff, right? team play? no selfishness? he was only selfish because d'antoni was a bad coach?

I'm not sure what you are getting at and why I should even answer these questions.

The only reason I defend Melo is because he is the only one getting any blame for a TEAM's struggles. Like Woodson said, let's hold everyone accountable. I feel many on this board has not held everyone on the team excluding Melo accountable which is really unfair. I can care less what you think of him as a player but the fact of the matter is that many of you guys are judging someone's character, demeanor, and personality based on nothing but game play which I find to be horrible. Many mention his body language but I noticed during tonight's game he and Amar'e were on the bench with a big lead sitting in the same exact seats in the same exact position as the previous game with Melo and his two towels, one wrapped around his head/face and Amar'e with his arms crossed across his chest leaning back with his feet out. The same exact positions! Only difference were they were smiling because they seemed to be having fun. He has yet to say anything negative about MDA or any of the assistant coaches or his teammates which I find classy. I find it humorous and pathetic that several analysts and his teammates think highly of him as a person yet fans are set on him being such a bad guy. I do not think he is a selfish player. Sorry, I don't. Let's hold 3 rebound Amar'e accountable. Let's hold players who lack on defense accountable. Let's hold players who make low iq plays accountable. Let's hold coaches accountable when they get outcoached. Everyone, including Melo, but not just Melo, played a part in that frustrating stretch of loses.

Nice post.

Assigning all blame to Melo and not holding others accountable as well is the easy and lazy way out.

Melo def played like sh1t this year and MDA coached like sh1t and Amare played like sh1t and Fields even played like sh1t tonight and ...

if JVG can come back, then all of this was worth it. JVG could win a championship with this roster.

No premier, self-respecting coach will come here, knowing he'd have to deal with Dolan.

Exactly. Why do you think Phil Jackson turned Knicks down TWICE??? Dumblan is the problem, and yes, Phil Jackson has tremendous self-respect for himself. The only condition Phil Jackson will ever come to coach the Knicks is if Jim Dumblan GUARANTEE him full power of personnel, and a GM Phil can work with, like with Jerry West.

You never know. Dolan may due what it takes to get Phil into the Garden. I hate Dolan but he will spend the money. Phil was making $12 million a year with the Lakers. If Dolan offers him $15 million + and control I think this would be a done deal but time will tell.

Donnie Walsh was supposedly given complete control and look what that got him. Knifed in the back whenever Dolan and his sidekick decided they wanted the Knicks to make a BIG transaction that They decided would be good. Not Walsh.
