I am glad this forum has lots of senses on what the root problem is. I've been living in 2 other forums before this, and nobody on those forums agree with me that Jim Dumblan is the problem. You cannot have a winning team without a decent, logical, driven leader that will speak out from time to time. That means the owner, not the coach, not GM, but the one that's actually paying the bill. Just look at the history of Jim Dumblan as an owner he inherited from his dad, whom later regret and had huge conflict with Jim's philosophy on business and life, really. There were nothing good about Jim's record as an owner except he would be a great clown for conversation topic at the owners' meeting.
I've been a Knicks fan for 34 years, and I've never ever hated someone so much as to if hiring an assassin was tolerated in our legal system, I would help foot the bill to have Jim targeted (I'm sure his dad would be doing the hiring). I'll always be a Knicks fan because Jim Dumblan did not create this team, and I was born in Harlem. However, if I ever become filthy rich, I'd find a way to do a hostile takeover of Jim's companies and gain control of the Knicks. Now the question is, which coach will consider coming under the shades of Jim Dumblan? I know Phil doesn't. He turned down TWICE to coach the Knicks knowing Jim is the problem. Jerry Sloan said he would love to coach the Knicks? I hope that's just a rumor because I have lots of respect for that man. I don't have much self-respect, and so I will continue to be a miserable Knicks fan.
