I am not comparing at all. I am just making a point that changing coaches often does not mean it is the wrong move. The lakers had many coaches that did not work and changed them frequently. Eventually, they got back to winning with PJax.

Changing coaches frequently != bad franchise

A douche owner who cares too much about money and not enough about the team - that is what kill franchises.

the Lakers won 61 games and made the western conference finals in 1998 and that was an off year for them. if the knicks did that, dolan would build a 500-ft statue of himself made of golden candy bars.

there is literally no comparison whatsoever between the two franchises.

Dolan saying that came to Glen and Allan this morning, and then called Dolan and met at training center. It wasn't planned, it was a surprise. Mike's a class act. Thanks to Phil and Dan too. But Dolan BELIEVES in the talent, he BELIEVES in the players. Passed off to Glen & Mike. Mike W. taking questions. Howard Beck asks why Pringles quit? Mike W. talking about putting Melo in more post opportunities, also putting Stat in the low block, as a suggestion of something he's going to try to do tonight, but gradually changing the system, needs a practice under his belt at least. First meeting with players he said "take a deep breath and relax" — hates to lose because he gave Mike W. a chance — but time to move on. Main goal is get to playoffs. Glen & Mike W. stressing that this was a surprise from , Glen didn't understand what was saying at first, he says.

This gives me more incentive to work harder to be rich. Need to buy the Knicks from Dumblan. He does NOT deserve to get Knicks from his dad, who clearly regretted giving him the team.

Hope Woodson is right. It seems like he's been giving this a lot of thought even before this move. He already had posting Melo and STAT more in mind. I wonder how STAT will feel about that idea? This will be interesting to watch. We haven't seen this team running that style of ball. No way to know how this all will look. At least Woodson should be strong on defense. I would guess that the team will play much slower now too.

Right now the Dolan/Isiah regime is in full effect with no hindrance. Glen, Woodson and Isiah are all old Indiana teammates. I'm pretty sure that they've had conversations about the state of the team and what they think needed to be done differently. Just seems a bit too contrived from the get go.
