Didn't think I'd be asking this a few weeks ago when I was going nuts with Linsanity. Everyone in the house had it. I found myself explaining basketball, answering basketball questions and watching games with people that had I had never watched a game with before due to lack of interest on their part.....Then it started.....I go for a cup of coffee in the morning and would be greeted by the wife with.."Melo Sucks". Then later, my 8 year old explaining to me how Melo needs to pass the ball more....oh man, the decline and fall has been painful....especially since now other people are monitoring it and reminding me constantly....It was so much easier to to suffer in silence then to hear things like..."what's that, 5 in a row now?"

Despite what is going on with the team now, I'm still voting with my Knicks heart and I'm going to man up and yes, they will still make the playoffs even if it's as a first round punching bag yet again...Ugh ;(

The wheels started to fall off the instant Paul Pierce hit that 3 at the end of regulation...

But that game against the Celtics could have gone either way. If Melo made his final shot to win the game....

you know, it's just one of those game where one shot makes a difference so I wouldn't worry about it. The game I am worry about are the big blow outs.

Yes. They played hard and fought in that game. The loss however has sent us in a downward spiral. That game really hurt us bad. I woulda fouled

Very good point. we should have fouled.

If you had remembered that game, Melo had hit 3 buckets in the last minute and a half of regulation, the last 2 to give the Knicks the lead. Should have been more than enough. 3 point lead with 18 seconds left...D'Antoni's Coaching Epitaph

P.S. - If Lin had guarded Rondo that night (18 Pts, 17 Reb, 20 Ast, 1 Stl, 1 Blk), maybe it would have been a blowout win in favor of the Knicks

was just going through the schedule of remaining games. There's definitely alot of winnable games there...enough to go 12-12 which should get us the 8th playoff spot and a first round match-up with the Bulls.

We are tied with the Bucks for 8th. Even if we go .500 the rest of the way (ending 6 games under .500 total, which would be terrible) we'd have to pray for some Bucks losses. They are playing so better lately, that is unlikely right now.

We had this in our hands. We kinda still have a chance, but what we are sporting out isn't a basketball team but a bunch of clueless guys that believe somebody else will do the job for them.

We are losing to some very good to great teams and looking better and better (and still losing). I have to say, we had our meltdown two games ago. The Bulls game was terrible on the boards but Stat and MElo are looking better and Lin is just becoming more solid (but still so much room for improvement.) Chandler is still a beast and Jeffries will be coming back to shore him at backup. Jr is sucking so can only improve from here. Shump and Fields still can't shoot but have been helping in other ways. Novak is still shooting good to great overall and defending better, much much better than earlier in the year. Davis is really helping at PG but can't shoot either. Harrelson is not back to form on shooting (nor close) but is a smart player out there. Just think if he hadn't missed all that time where he and we would be. I am still most excited about Lin, the guy, even though tired is still playing incredible for essentially being a 23 year old rookie. (Hope the next coach plays an open style for him.)

I just have a good feeling about our team now. Even with all the Melo and Stat complaints I have had lately. I call it like I see it and I see things are improving. It is in our hands now, how bad do they want it. We are close.

If you can't get excited about Stat finally hitting his jump shot than you are not a true Knick Fan!

Everytime it went in I almost cried!

LOL - yeah, was great to see. HUGE weapon when he is doing that. I really think he is on the way back. Like I said, I have a very good feeling. Hopefully he rebounds better next time.

Then we have something in common...I've almost cried several times while watching Stat this year too!

this team is too talented to not make the playoffs...they will win five in a row, then the ? is going to be can we get home court..

We got 11 new players with less then ten practices together, played less then a solid month together..

the PGs have to get it together

We are too talented to lose 6 games in a row... Especially two times in the season...

Oh, wait...

Knicks1248 does have a point tho. This is not an easy thing to do. To get all these agendas in synch and pulling only for the team. There are so many things that we're just coming to know about these players and so many new twists. Lin was a revelation and totally unexpected and it threw a monkey wrench into the team dynamic, which was centered around STAT and Melo.
