Not sure about the rest of your guys, but with the package, I've watched quite a few Bulls games. You can literally hear Thibs' hoarse voice barking defensive instructions to his team everytime down the floor. Its amazing the attention to detail he has on the defensive end the enthusiasm he expresses. He doesn't let his guys take a play off on the defensive end. Listen for him barking instructions as he stands on the sidelines tonight. You can hear him through the audio-feed, he's so loud.

*Trying to imagine Thibs barking defensive orders at Melo and Stat. Even in practice*

I wonder if Woodson barks.

With Stat and Melo he will lose his voice after first game, cool first second, and job first third....

Knicks just need a win. We haven't really had any luck this losing streak. No offensive explosions where the team just hits everything they throw up. You would figure that the law of averages would work in the Knicks favor at some point. Knicks could easily have won Boston game and Milwaukee game with a lucky bounce here or there.

One thing I did notice is that too many Knicks are taking tough shots Melo, STAT, Lin, Baron, JR in particular. When we were winning we got alot of high % shots within the offense. The entire thrust of MDA's system is to take the BEST shot every time. We haven't been doing that. Playing better teams will make that harder, but you still have to keep moving the ball until you get an open shot. That's what Philly was doing. They just kept the ball moving. Same with Milwaukee. We used to be that team!

if the players come out flat, you know it's because they just want a new coach.

if this is another one of those no energy type games, don't be surprised if D'Antoni starts: Lin, Chandler, Novak, Jorts and Fields in the third quarter.

i don't think the whole team wants a new coach, but it's fairly obvious melo does. i'm guessing dolan will cater to his hand-picked superstar who he overpaid for...

d'antoni would probably love to start a lineup of guys who hustle for him and play the offense and defense the way it's drawn up. but can he really afford to lose melo so publicly?

i mean, he's gonna get fired anyway, so who knows, maybe he'll try it.

What does melo want? I mean he came home and he got his money? He hates karl and d'antoni so what coach does he want. Its obviously not about winning because he won in denver and he isnt winning here with this team and i dont expect him to be happy with PJAX id he comes here because PJAX will have no problem tearing him a new ******* if he quits on his team again

Lin is working on driving left and its slowly starting to pay dividends.

The biggest problem Lin needs to get past (more than his defense) is Lin constantly telegraphing his passes. You can trace a large number of his turnovers to Lin trying to establish eye contact before attempting a pass, regardless of the situation.

Lin also needs to have a plan B on drives to the rim by time he gets halfway between the top of the key and the rim. That's what makes Nash so good, his creativity and his no look passes. Nash knows by that point to either reset or kick it out if the lane isn't there. Jeremy too often plows into the lane and gets stuffed because he has no plan B until he is up in the air and under the rim.

As for D'Antoni, I hope in the future if Melo is putting a hurt on the other team, MDA lets him stay in the game to try to build a lead, give this team a cushion. Teams feed on making smart plays but also on emotion. You want a squad who enjoys putting their boot on the neck of the opposing team. Melo has seen few games this season were he went on a tear, hitting one shot after another.

Its important to let Melo have the opportunity to run up the score when is on a roll, especially when he's had so few games like that this season. Can't treat him like a role player.

i think chandler getting hurt is also a probelm for lin sice those two were getting great chemistry, now lin has to worry about the other two getting their touches. before lin didnt have to worry about taht since the players he had didnt care about how many touches they got and he had more confidence

Chandler being out has hurt but Lin still needs to develop a no look pass, or at the very least not be so predictable. You can see the defense reading his eyes, they know what's coming. If Lin takes that away from them, he will be dangerous again. Knicks can't live and die on the P&R to Chandler alone

Another thing I'd like to seem him do is build up his upper body strength. Those fall away shots of his look too often like heaves. It will also help him if he wants to shoot well off the dribble. Not trying to be too hard on Lin, just that there are some weaknesses in his game that he will have to address if he wants to be the starting PG of the future. I'm confident that Lin will keep working on his game, its already showing.

I think this is one of the reasons people appreciate Lin. Guy wasn't drafted. Worked on his game and himself to get better. Was given a chance, came ready and took all of NBA basketball on an incredible run, while essentially still a rookie. We want to believe in people like him over the overpaid talent. He's not perfect -- dribble is too high, left is a weakness, jump shot is erratic. But he's got heart. It's the same reason we loved players like Starks, Oakley, Sprewell. Warts and all, they played to win.

It is more likely than not that Lin will work over the summer to address more of these issues. That's what good players do. Other players come back from the summer pudgier and with no noticeable improvement in their skill sets; they take what they have for granted. That's not the kind of player that gets crowd sympathy when things turn bad. And that is why despite his turnovers, we so badly want to believe in Lin. The kid who no one (well, relatively because he got into the NBA) took seriously gave NY it's best basketball in more than a decade.

As confusaed as this team has looked lately, it's as if no one was coaching at all.

I am rooting for a win, but I am prepared in case they don't.

I can never root against the knicks. But if they get beat tonight and it costs D'Antoni his job, I don't think it'll be the worst thing in the world. I don't think they can play any worse than they have been or show such a lack of prgress as they have. Maybe a new coach would play to their strengths better and demand Defense.

I don't know that they'll get rid of D'Antoni at this point though or if that's the best play. This is just so damn frustrating.

We will see howe things go down in the coming days. It's definitely frustrating as hell, though. There is no reason why the players should be so confused about the game plan. That is because the coach dosn't know which way is up and he's still guessing at lineups and subs after being more than half way through the season.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

There is no way in hell I see the Knicks winning this game. Maybe that is a good sign. I cannot believe I am going to back on "my word" and am going subject myself to the slow pain of this game. I am a glutton for punishment.

If anyone is at the game, can they scream at Rose to just attack Amare because he has no defense; maybe that'll challenge him to play defense (without the fan fearing for his life from Bulls fans). Maybe this team needs some reverse psychology, like my 3 year old daughter.

Thanks God the UVM Catamounts play Lamar Wednesday night. I'll be watching that instead of the Knicks fresh off of their 6th loss in a row.

Can you believe that just a week ago we almost beat Boston and were .500?
