Amar'e and Fields work financially... obviously the Knicks would have to add to it for it to make sense basketball wise

Lin/Ellis/Melo/Lee/Chandler

I re-read the original post. If the Hawks are willing to trade Josh Smith, I'd jump at the chance to trade Amar'e for Smith and Kirk Hinrich's corpse

I would trade for smith too. He is an elite defender. With him, chandler, and Shumpert we should have a top-5 defense and with Melo and Lin, we should still be able to score.

I'd be with it....Josh Smith knows the defense and is a more engaged player compared to Amare....it would eliminate Amare camping out in the corner looking to coast aka be the stretch 4....Amare likes to say dumb **** like "its time for the old Amare to come back"....I'm sick of that ****. I want guys to play ball. I think Josh Smith wants to play ball.

osh Smith has the same problem at times. The difference is that he is an even worse shooter than STAT. And that moves still wouldn't solve the spacing issues we have with Chandler. Smith may be an upgrade, but only a slight upgrade. He'd be like having Shawn Marion without a jumper.

As for Ellis, if you guys think Melo pounds the ball....

Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right. - The Tick
