well felton was great in the system but he never had this type of impact and felton had better talent around him

They're probably wondering if they could have gotten equal/better performance from their PG spot for a lot less money than what those guys are making.

Doubtful. Rockets have Lowry AND Dragic and Golden State has Curry.

Kind of ironic, but Lin on the 90s Knicks would have got us at least 2 maybe 3 championships.

Its funny that you have to give MDA's system a negative connotation of "inflating" a PG's number. It doesn't inflate it's numbers, but rather runs the game through him, so he will obviously be in the center of anything that happens. If the defense gives it to him, he will score his way to 20+ points (and please remember that this system can't guarantee the guy running it will absorb the many hits JLin takes and still complete the plays). If not, he will hit the open man.

You still need talent and vision to run this system (reason why guys like Douglas and Shump failed). The system is part of his success because its made to run through the PG, but don't take away JLin's talent, passion, vision and heart.

I truly think he can take this team there. We finally are flowing with talent, depth and are led by a guy that just won't give up, JLin.

Not trying to take away from system or Lin. I think Lin is rock solid as pg. I just don't think he would look as good in a different system. MDA'S's syst relies on pg that can really make all the right decisions on p n r plays and in penetrating. That fits Lin's skills. In a more post offense, Lin would not be as effective. That is all I was saying. I think LIn can be as gold as Nash if his jumper improves and he cuts down on turnovers.

Guy is a winner, and he makes us win.

Simple as that.

+1

What I love the most about Lin is that he gets pumped up for the home games.
For the last 10 years teams have come into the Garden, pumped up to play here
& usually run the Knicks off of the court. Lin rises to each challenge &
seems to infuse his spirit into the rest of the team.

i dont agree. sure he fits this system but now people see his talent. the truth is that in da'ntonis system pg are gonna turn the ball over sometimes thats just apart of it. felton turned the ball over last year and even nash did a little but at first and he got better as time went on
