![]() Walker can play and help.
Bibby can play 10-so minutes and help backup Lin and Davis (though I'd rather waive him, but so be it). Douglas could still be injured or whatever, but still could pick up his game and be valuable (in the trading market, that is) JR is a SG/SF, so with Melo and Walker, its logical to waive the guy with the same position that doesn't ever play. Had to be Balkman. (Though this could change when the signing becomes official) Now, if we could waive Bibby and sign Mike James... Knicks_Fan

Don't be fooled by how well they played at the start of the season, as the condensed schedule favors deep teams, which is why PHI, IND, and DEN came out of the gates superhot. Their losing streak coincides with both Gallo and Moz being injured. |

If you are, then you know that when Balk was getting play earlier in the season, he performed well, rebounded, defended and had a few put backs. He's definitely more productive than Bibby who has shown that A: He is no longer a viable ball handle. B: He can't hit the broadside of a barn anymore. You cut the least valuable player on the team and Balk has proven when giving playing time that he will be the more productive of the two. NOW, with that said, I believe Balk will be the one cut the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

![]() just imagine when teams try to zone us. Put smith/novak on one side and Melo on the other and let Lin bust the shyt out of that zone.

![]() While I agree that Balkman is a better player than Bibby, I think the point is, there is no role for Balkman on the Knicks, while Bibby does fill a need for some insurance at the point and maybe some spot minutes now and then. Maybe it's not fair, but it's the reality.

Fast-forward a week and half later and we are so deep, we cant figure out which productive player to leave out of the rotation. Things be good |

![]() Confirmation
http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/New-York-Knicks-close-to-signing-JR-Smith-021612 The Knicks will officially add free-agent shooting guard J.R. Smith to Linsanity on Friday, making the hottest team in the NBA a deep team as well. |

![]() It seems J.R. Smith has a huge ego and doesn't accept getting any minutes less than what he deems he should get.
Look, I thought J.R. Smith would have been a good addition to shake things up on this team... but that was before Jeremy Lin went Super Saiyan. Now, I dont think the Knicks should screw with this chemistry. When you are on a streak like this, messing with the chemistry on this scale is extremely reckless. Just from my experience playing pickup ball with a really talented ball player who is also an ego maniac makes the game less fun for everyone. It eventually polarizes the team and causes divisions between the players, coach, management, also between the players themselves. A divisive influence is not conducive to team basketball. The rotten apple spoils then bunch. I cannot scream this from the mountaintops loud enough. I think I am going to turn this topic into a thread. |
