I guess that's where GM's make their money. Look at whole resume, situation, strengths, this year's playoffs, etc. All of it.

Also take into account who else is out there and know that ANOTHER system will have to be implemented with maybe some different players (current players may not fit).

If I knew my restaurant needed a specific ingredient before my kitchen could produce the food I wanted, I would make sure I got that first. It wouldn't be an afterthought. I wouldn't be praying that some past their prime ingredient, like BD, would save me.

You always want to take circumstance into long term thinking.

No reason to extend MDA until after playoffs. That's reasonable too.

Then we are in agreement Lets hope he succeeds. Every coach needs to get a bit lucky to win - looks like he hit the jackpot. Lets see him ride it.
