With his FG% at 24%, his value would be nil. Best to let him rehab that shoulder, it's obvious that it still bothers him. We have Novak and Backman who can add deadly shooting and energy respectively. I like this idea of the bench giving value.

SlimChin - once he gets his shot back? You could assign Hercule Poirot, Sherlock Holmes and Lieutenant Columbo and they would have a difficult time finding Douglas' lost jump shot.

If Douglas is injured, who is he helping by playing by playing this way? Any decision to play while impaired is only making a bad situation worse. If his shoulder is not the source of his accuracy problems, then he better get his butt to a shot doctor - quick.

i think toney needs a confidence boost. and needs to go back to playing SG. maybe some time in the d-league would help. but the team is just TOO thin at guard right now.

we can't play Lin 45 minutes a night at PG, he'll disintegrate.

4 year player got better every yeare and like it was said, he had a good second half even though his shoulder hurt.

Lets not kick a knick when he is down. Lets root for his return to form.

yes, there are restrictions. I think you can't send anyone who has more than 2 years. They can voluntarily go.

Well yeah, if he's injured he should be a little forthcoming because he's not helping the team. it's gotta be his shoulder—this guy was one of the most lethal 3pt shooters last yr.

Forthcoming with the fans? Or the staff? Cause I am pretty sure the later is well informed.

Now we are creating a nagging injury problem which probably doesn't exist. Just admit he sucks and move on, you'll feel better.

I agree. With Shumpert coming on, we already have two solid SG (Shumpert and Fields), we have Walker as a backup, we now have Lin to play the point and should get Davis soon, with Bibby on the bench. That is a 6 guys playing in 2 spots. We should trade Douglas for a late first-round pick, if we can get one (or two second round picks).

Are you on drugs? Nobody is giving up a first rounder for Toney Douglas.

To keep it real, no NBA general manager who wants to keep his job is giving up a draft pick of ANY kind for Toney Douglas. Nobody.

i think lin's play is great for TD. i don't know this, but i still don't think he's right from that shoulder injury and i think he now gets the time he needs to rest, build his confidence back up and figure out his shooting problems, instead of doing it in the games. TD is a solid player and he's nowhere near as bad as we've seen him this year so i think he ends up a better player from this.

You are probably right now, but if you look at his game film from last year, the kid is worth a late first round pick. He made the most 3s than anyone second half of the season, is a solid defender, and can score in multiple ways. Now that he is hurt, we might only be able to get a second rounder for him, but once the kid is fully healed, he is going to get back to where he was. I think trading him is a good move for our team becuase we can clear his contract off the books, as we will clearly need to resign Lin and we can retain Walker for a minimum deal.
