I think it's to easy to kill a guy on this board & then when the dude drops back to back monster games, everybody says they were wrong & "mans up". In this case, we need more drastic humiliation like a public flogging with a whip made of Asian Noodles in front of MSG

Hot sauce on the testies will suffice.

Asian Sensation is So Marc Berman-ish (Italian Stallion anyone?)

"I was at the game in person and you absolutely nailed it with the MVP chants or rather the difference in tone between the early chants and the passionate, deep throated ones at the end of the game. Sure, without many options us Knicks fans have fallen in and out of love with underdog players quickly and maybe Lin will just be another name we'll ruefully look back at in the future, but we're grateful to him for his past two games for reminding New Yorkers again how fun winning basketball can be.

In terms of nicknames I'd just like to see one that doesn't conflate all of East Asia or evoke every Asian stereotype for a kid who is as American as you and me."

earthmansurfer wrote:By the way guys, I'll apologize to Coach for his decision to not give Lin a rest to start the 4th. I found this in an aricle here: http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/knicks/post/_/id/10962/the-jeremy-lin-show-act-ii

D'Antoni thought about taking him out late in the third quarter. Lin convinced him to reconsider. The coach obliged, saying later that he was going to ride Lin "like friggin' Secretariat."

I'll even apologize to Jeffries for my silent booing. I still am frustrated with his point blank misses but the guy played a great game and came here for the minimum when he could have gotten more from other teams. Further he said we owe a lot to coach for putting in Lin. I can't argue that, except to say he should have done it sooner.

Enjoy the ride guys, it's just starting,
EMS

edit - Forgot to add, that Chandler said Lin is the 3rd best PG he's played with at running the P&R! So, that includes Jason Kidd and who is the 2nd?

I'll take the Jard props one step further. The dude also said he owed it to NY to come for the minimum since he was injured and didn't feel he lived up to his contract. THAT IS WHAT I CALL MANNING UP.

I have defended Jared here when those who only recognize offense and "gaudy" defensive stats. The guy does all those little things and some will only have noticed because there was no flashy Melo or Amare to distract them :)

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

I dont think anybody should apologize for not jumping on the lin bandwagon right away. The reason why i love basketball is becasue you have to prove yourself and so far lin has certainly done that. Hopefully he can continue that. Now i dont expect him to get 25-30 points every night but if he can get 15-20 with close to ten assists and limit turnovers thats as much as you can ask for from a point guard. i think Lin can do taht because he fits d'antoni's up tempo offense
