Denver must laugh at us everyday. they went from a team who would lose their star for nothing to taking all of our assets and we have been terrible since

Real at taking a lot of shots and being a streak shooter, and he can also grab boards. Overall, however: He's a very overrated "superstar" and hasn't done much to make us better than before the trade. Before the trade, we were still a top scoring team. It wasn't necessary to do it.

Again, I am not knocking on Melo himself because the play he plays now is how he's always played. This is the fault of Dolan, Walsh, MDA, and perhaps Isiah.

We were a .500 team that could not compete with the likes of Boston before the trade...Melo is one of the best scorers in the league..There is nothing overrated about that..Doesn't make sense that we rehash the same old same old...Everyone knew that Knicks weren't going to be instantly better based on what we lost...Yet guys still try to compare where the Knicks are to Denver...Everyone mouthing off on how great Denver is..Let's see how they do in the playoffs where depth isn't an issue...And I don't want to root against Denver, you guys just make it difficult to illustrate a point...I'm happy with Chandler, Melo and STAT...If BD still has game we ar going to be a nightmare...We couldn't say that last year...I don't think we were trying to win it all this year anyway..We build on what we have...Onward..

Danilo Gallinari went 1 for 9 against the Lakers.

Gosh, I miss him.

All-Star appearances only hold meaning for little kids.

No adult basketball fans see Melo on the All-Star team as anything but a joke.

This is a joke. The guy sucks at basketball.

you are like the guy at the sports bar screaming out "you know what they need to do...Run the Fumblerooski!!!!" Sit down & keep quiet cause although Melo (or anyone else playing in the NBA) is not a perfect player, you clearly know nothing about B-Ball.

I've heard that the more font colors and sizes you use, the stronger it makes your argument.

Holfresh, we beat Miami, OKC, Chicago X2, and Denver when hey had Melo, and we were above .500 and also showing improvement. We didn't beat Boston but we weren't uncompetitive against them, as you implied. Now we just traded those assets who helped us get a record a little above .500 and now we are far below .500 and we got our arses kicked by Boston last year. Now you are saying we will be a nightmare IF BD is healthy. That's what's wrong with this organization. We are depending on guys who USED to be great, and oh BTW, had questionable attitude problems. To top it off, he's a shoot first player to begin with.

You may be happy with Stat, melo and Chandler as our unit, but the way I see it, these guys games aren't improving and they are superstars. They are the ones that should be bringing us to the promise land, NOT BD. They should be the saviors. It's a poor collective unit and they aren't helping improve the rest of the team and we can hardly improve the team unless we trade one or both of Stat/Melo. There's no way around it. I would trade both while they are still posting stats, especially Amar'e.

Baron is a career 42% shooter and 32% from 3. He gets his assists but he gets his TOs too. Can someone please explain how this is going to turn us into a nightmare? Those stats are PRE bad back, btw.

To an objective outsider, the notion that our .350 team is closer to contention than Denver's .700 team would be delusional.

Good point. Baron should only be expected to help contribute, not be some kind of savior.

Re: the OP, I'm glad to see Melo rep the Knicks in this year's all-star game. In the midst of the meltdown the team is experiencing, this gives us one bright spot for us to smile about.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!
