Why are you talking like an ignorant Celtics fan? You should know that the offense isn't about winning only if we hit 3's! How is it that his offense has been either the most efficient offense in the league or no worse than top 5 when he's had at least a decent PG? Jacking 3's isn't efficient, so clearly his offense has been much more than that.

If the offense was so bad and relied on 3pt shooting in order to be good, then how can it at the same time be one of the most efficient offenses in the league. Never mind all the change that have occurred in the 2 Duhon Years and even last year. 65+ different players isn't a recipe for success. We've denied the coach the one thing he needs to be successful.

Like you said, he likes to hide unpopular decisions and after going through as many coaches as he has in the past decade how could this possibly be spun as positive. He'll do it during the superbowl. .

thats the fear. The only hope for this season is that MDA can turn this around. He's the only guy in a position to do so. Are you going to replace him with someone from the outside? Who is going to come in here and fix this? Are you going to give someone from his staff the interim tag? Woodson? Herb? Those guys are going to do something MDA hasnt thought of?

I'd give it to Herb, all the way.

Is Mike D'Antoni is feeling the heat? Well, he sure realizes his job is in jeopardy. That much was clear when he answered a question about feeling any relief after Tuesday's win over Detroit.

“The only thing [Tuesday] night proved is I could get one good night’s sleep this week," D’Antoni said. “That’s the only thing that happened. Other than that, we’re still 8-13 and the posse is after me, so I’m running as fast as I can run. Hopefully I can turn this posse into a parade. That’s my focus. I’m working as hard as I can work."

D'Antoni is in the final year of his contract and there has been speculation surrounding his job status since the beginning of the season. That only intensified as the Knicks lost nine out of ten games in January.

They beat Detroit on Tuesday -- one of the worst teams in the NBA. But the team faces a tougher test beginning Thursday, when they host the Chicago Bulls.

The Bulls game is the first of three straight for the Knicks. They travel to Boston on Friday and then come home to host New Jersey on Saturday.

One report in "The Daily" stated that D'Antoni would be fired by owner James Dolan on Sunday if the Knicks lost to Chicago and Boston so the Knicks could avoid a media firestorm with the Giants in the Super Bowl.

But the popular belief is that D'Antoni will get a chance to coach a healthy Baron Davis. Davis is dealing with a back injury. He missed a practice and shoot around earlier this week and has not been able to take contact due to lingering soreness in his back.

The system's most important feature is the sideline triangle created between the center, who stands at the low post; the forward at the wing, and the guard at the corner. The team's other guard stands at the top of the key and the weak-side forward is on the weak-side high post — together forming the "two-man game."

The offense starts when a guard passes to the wing and cuts to the strong-side corner. The triangle is created from a post player on the strong-side block, the strong-side corner, and the extended strong-side wing, who gains possession on the first pass. The desired initial option in the offense is to pass to the strong-side post player on the block who is in good scoring position. From there the player has the options of looking to score or pass to one of the perimeter players who are exchanging from strong-side corner and wing, a dive cut down the lane, or the opposite wing flashing to the top of the key which initiates another common option known as the "pinch post."

Phil's biggest strength is in dealing with the super ego of the elite player. I don't see there being as much of a need here. We only have one guy that is really a big ego and It's not the reason we lose. There's no Kobe and Shaq dynamic here. I'd prefer that the Knick Brass concentrate on fixing the roster more than worrying about the coach. Depth of talent is our biggest issue.
