He has talent but the Knicks have a coach that struggles with these types. In the past character has been more important then potential and upside. I don't think Smith fits with this coach. Also, Grunwald isn't going to move him out if he uses the 2.5 on him even if he makes it harder on the coach. I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18

![]() Big difference between JR Smith and TD is that JR is extremely decisive. :) He touches it, you know he will do everything in his power to make it into a scoring opportunity.
TD still wants to believe he's a point guard. “That was two, two from the heart.” - John Starks

![]() I'm down. This teams a shot in the arm, someone who has some fire and some swag in the back court. IMAN has it but is still a rookie, but Melo needs someone else who can get their own shot. Just one other person who can break the D down will make a ton of difference. I feel bad for the the back court, because the management put them in a losing situation. TD covered a few games for billups and we thought that was good enough. Clearly that was wrong. I don't think we need Kmart, our problems are clearly in the back court. We have enough big guys.
if he wants to come for a min, then fine. M

If MDA allowed Iman the freedom to play even when he was a bit out of control, he would have no problem with JR doing what he'd be brought here to do, which is score. MDA just doesn't like Non-Basketball plays. So long as it makes sense within the flow of the game MDA has never had a problem with guys shooting. MDA wants you to shoot when you're wide open. That's how the offense is designed. It wasn't so much character issues with players as it was dumb and selfish BB. MDA really wasn't wrong about Nate or Hughes or AR. |

We wouldn't be sacrificing anything to bring him in, so what's with the dissing of this possible move? What do you expect the team to do, just sit on their hands? Who do you bring in? MOST of our roster has good guys on it. So he's a strange guy. So long as he plays well and helps the team win I don't see why you don't give it a try. What's the risk? Nobody understand this idea. What are you talking about? TD is always very decisive. He is always looking to set himself up for the 30 footers fading away. Dude is money. |

![]() I think it would be cheaper, easier and give the UK faithful less angst to just have Dolan move the team into the Chinese League.

![]() As far as SGs go, he's as good as we will find. He's a scorer and we need offense badly. He can shoot and penetrate and we know he can play alongside Melo. His attitude is his biggest weakness and it should be contained with our veteran core.
