Excellent Point

Why does Toney Douglas attempt the most shots last night?

For him to hog more shots than Amar'e is a crime.

That would be a major improvement for Douglas if it were true. Anthony averaged 7 assists per 36 min for his career.

Agreed

I'd take bunch of 2nd round picks & bag of chips for him
he is worst ever of the new wave NBA players and don't
belong in NBA.

D-League Toney
some guards over there gotta be better than this !

If you think ANY NBA General Manager is giving the Knicks any draft picks for Toney Douglas, you are more delusional than Toney for hoisting more shots than anyone in the rotation.

Please.

How about impersonate a leader or a superstar. Getting mad a Toney Douglas and calling him out is not only stupid it's downright ridiculous.

This organization is gutter trash. The owner destroyed the team. He wanted his guy to boast sales and Melo is what he is. A guy that doesn't care and doesn't get it.

It's not Toneys fault that our GM made a catroscopic mistake of using an amnesty to put a combo guard that makes 2MM in charge of our offense. You can be mad that w spent years rebuilding a frontcourt that is worse now than the.one we would have had with frontcourt that isn't better one we could have had with zack, Lee, chandler and Gallo.

But to boo a player that is exactly who we drafted and wanted him to be just isn't right. He's a late round pick.

Boo the chump that sat out the game.

The Knicks should have taken Buddinger or Blair when they picked Toney. Both guys were supposed to be lottery picks and dropped for different reasons. Buddinger would be great in D'Antoni's offense.

Could have kept Billups, saved the amnesty, and do some wheeling and dealing to pick up Nikola Pekovic on the cheap. Or Dalembert. What happened with Dalembert, they got him for cheap.

Time article makes a funny point: we are paying 12$m for a point guard to play for another team while we are drowning in an ice lake without a point guard.

You do realize Dalembert is making $7M? How do you propose we get him while keeping Billups?

I think we'd also have lots of cap room. I like Tyson but I don't see what the point is of having him on a mediocre team at $14 mil/season.

Dalembert has a 1 year, 7 mil contract (with a team option on the 2nd year). I'm sure we could have fit him in and kept Billups. It might have required moving a player or two though and then giving Dalembert more years, less per year. Maybe 3 years and $14 mil

REALLY? 1st of all I don't think the Knicks Brass was thinking of only this season. When you commit that much to a player you have to look long term. STAT, Melo and Tyson for 4 years together is a clear direction. They weren't expecting guys to slump this bad starting off. They certainly hoped that TD and Bibby could hold down the fort until Baron was healthy. In either case it was a move made to secure the future of the team. You can't just look at how it looks 19 games into the 1st year. For one thing you assume that the team won't eventually play better, which we don't know for sure at this point. They could end up being more than a mediocre team.

I think you are demonstrating your lack of knowledge around the salary cap. Keep Billups and the Knicks have MLE to spend.

Tyson at $14 mil is an excellent piece to add to a core that's capable of contending but does not make sense to add to a bad core. I don't think you and I disagree on Tyson. We just disagree on the team's core.

Well then it would have been easier than I realized to keep Billups and sign Dalembert. We'd still have a bad core IMO but the team would at least be watchable.

Agree again 150% this time
Though Chandler has had some rough games he had very good games on boards and doing main things which boxscore dont show.

Knicks needed a Center and it was at expense of 1yr rental PG Billups

We all know once we get rid of D'antoni, and we get some legit PG the Knicks can be back on the mend again
Melo will have to get with program & play better as team guy though we never complained on Melo last season
end when he HIT high % of the same shots he's missing now. He also went to basket last yr & drew lots of fouls
sank FT ..things he aint doing now

T.Chandler says it best last night and should make us proud
"We need to get back to NY basketball, and be nasty tough". NY city is all about that we dont play that way
and its all about that in NY. Chandler obvisiously knows it!

And the soft Knicks whole bunch of A_ .holes on their roster is too Ice-cream soft to do or play that way with effort
as led by the soft coach D'Antoni.

Soon be Game, Match , SET and GONE for D'Antoni very soon.
When Knicks lose to Rockets tonight it would be 9 losses in last 10 games.

When last you seen any Knick team like that Losing around here eh ?
