Glad no one's extending the Melo sucks hence Landry excels theory.

I'm really glad and hope he can keep this up. He's the 2nd Knick I didn't want included under any circumstances(1st being Felton) in the Melo trade. Kid is special.

Happy Anniversary

Not only will Landry Fields keep it up, he will continue to improve. Unlike Toney Douglas, Fields can adapt his skill set to the speedball game or halfcourt sets. Yoots who can learn on the fly are rare. There is a reason Donnie Walsh refused to include Landry in the Denver blockbuster, and you KNOW they asked for him.

Fields is barely in his second season. Tonight he plays the 100th game of his young career.

I never understood all the conviction around here that he couldn't shoot with the shooting display he had in the 1st half last year. He's heady and gives it his all. I'm sure he'll continue to be a solid starter.

He can shoot, just not a great shooter from beyond the arc. He skillet is much more suited to play close to the basket.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

I think Landry is in the midst of changing the form on his shot. And confidence has been an issue with him this year (fitting in).

I'm willing to wait on him a bit.

Me too, I have no issues with him. But his deer in the headlights look earlier on was wearing thin on me. As long as he tries hard and plays D I'll be happy.

He is not looking like Knicks-type player.
We need some flushi/dunkin/jerking/running/gunning stuff.
He is out of place... dreaming about Denver... Sorry body they never wont you...

I get the feeling that Fields would join a line of ex-Knicks who play better after leaving the team. He has his flaws like not having much of a dribble, but he has other things going for him as the last stretch of games has shown.

I think you are right...

If the Knicks had a fully healthy roster, Landry would be the backup small fwd if I was running the team. You gotta have baron, shump, Lin and Douglas at the back court rotation. Melo needs a backup that can be productive and allow him to get his minutes down and rest him for clutch time. That should be Landry.

Good point about playing Landry at SF. We need more of a slasher at SG. If we ever get this PG situation straightened out Shumpert could be it. I don't believe anyone has made a strong case to play starting PG this season unfortunately.
