nixluva has a strong point. I feel better about Knicks games against strong teams than I do against weak teams.

Amar'e and Melo tend to play bomb-diggity basket game when the other is out.

Why don't you go root for the Nets or something! Don't bring your negativity around this game thread. There's already enough issues without some negative nancy's in the mix. It' s one thing to have doubts and express them. It's yet another to gleefully crack jokes. What's so funny?

It's one thing to be confident in your basketball team, its yet another to blindly act like we play good defense.

I just hope noone gets injured this game. Good test for Shumpert today. We have to be near perfect to have a chance. Game plan has to be keep the game within 10 points until end of the 3rd, then make a final stand to try to close the gap in the 4th.

Gotta look for the team to give their best defensive effort of the year! That has no bearing on whether Melo plays or not. Gotta have everyone from starters to bench giving max effort on D and the boards. Maybe they get some easy baskets off turnovers.

The Knicks also need to play good team ball and play smart. They can't be throwin the ball all over the place and committing dumb turnovers. IT would be lovely if our slumping role players actually stepped up and had a good game. TD, Fields and Walker need to step up. It would be nice for a change to be the underdog that takes down a top team.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Carmelo Anthony is expected to miss the New York Knicks' game at Oklahoma City on Saturday night because of a sprained right ankle.

Coach Mike D'Antoni gave the update before the morning shootaround.

Anthony is the league's fourth-leading scorer, averaging 25.5 points. He was hurt early in the second half of New York's loss at Memphis on Thursday night. He also hurt his left wrist during that game but played through that injury.

I'm interested to see how we play without Melo- it might clarify whether Melo is playing so much iso because everyone else has lost their ability to score, or whether everyone has lost their ability to score because Melo is playing so much iso- I genuinely don't know which it is. Hope amar'e and fields have big games, it's been a while.
