I honestly think the fans booing and chanting +media pressure has had a positive effect on the team. Made some of D'Antoni's decisions happen quicker then if we just stood back and watched the show. Coaches lie if they say the reactions of the crowd don't effect some of their decisions sometimes.

Support your team and players but if the performance is not up to professional levels you should voice your opinion.

One the rare occasions when the championship 69-70 Knicks played sloppy basketball, they were booed into a timeout. Sometimes, five players would be sent to the scorers table and Red Holzman would pull ALL the starters off the floor for five subs, so the message was crystal clear.

They got the message. When they returned out of a timeout, the fans at The Garden were vocal with support, as if nothing happened. They would go on a run and all was forgiven. They won a championship with those demanding fans on their backs and WHO HAD their backs.

Booing is nothing but tough love. It is something that Toney Douglas can overcome with a few assists and a drive TOWARDS the rack.

Like the Geico gekko says (about booing) on the Brooklyn Bridge, "fuggedaboudit... dis is Noo Yawk!"

Absolutely!
We need to stop booing TD and get behind him.
Let's start cheering for him every time he comes of the bench.
Maybe that will lift his game to respectability.

I have no intention of giving him a pass. I realize he is playing out of position and trying hard but the benefits of doing that are far outweighed by his poor decision making, and his need to shoot contested three pointers.this not amateur team or college hoops, these guys gets paid to do this. Paid in millions. So no I don't feel the need to shower them with sympathy for doing their job badly.

A third string scrub is just that.

I booed the hell out of him last night when I was at the game.

I'm going to another game next week and I'll boo the hell out of him again.
