its alright, cause I have been Sh**TED on when I suggested to get Tyson Chandler last year.
I had him as an impact player and suggested us to court him, selling him the idea of being the Bill Russell of New York.
Almost everyone on the board disagreed with me, giving me all negative responses.

I had only one player above Iman, with our hole at center, with Vucevic. I was upset when we picked up Billups contract.
I agreed with Briggs that Philly would probably pick up Vucevic right before us and I said b4 the draft I would select him over anyone else.
Same for me saying Iman has "star" potential and capable of playing PG with his defense making in impact.

So I might not be right all the time, I can accept debate. But I have a vision that allows me to see steps before majority of the people here.
Most of the people here come up with trades that have 1% of happening with virtually no benefit/incentive for our partners.
A lot of you guys watch "Stats" on the box score, watch ESPN highlights, and think you know better than me.
It's alright, you dont have to understand me, just know I am steps ahead of majority of you guys.

I'm a huge fan of this upcoming free agent class. Is has a lot of pieces that would fill needs. Hopefully we can land one impact player with the 5 million mid level and one impact player with the 2 million bi-annual.

Camby potential back up center
Allen potential SG (depending on where we are planning Shumpert)
Hill potential backup SG/SF
PG Nash, Felton, Augustine, Nelson, Miller (if Davis doesn't work out or if we can convince him to resign as a backup.)

If BD doesn't pan out, then Nash or Felton hopefully.

those are all nice players to look to acquire, however, who remains to come at a discount will probably determine our positions needed to fill.
I thought Grant Hill, Mike Dunleavy, and Shannon Brown would be great targets to add this year, till Tyson Chandler became an option.
I haven't really watched Phoenix play but Hill's stats and minutes don't look very impressive so far. I think Ray Allen still can play another 2-3 years with his 3rd year declining.
Like KG, they are both professionals that work hard in practice and at the gym, will continue to play at a high level, pair up with their high BBALL IQ at their ages.

Our PG situation would be interesting, with Nash's experience with Dantoni. I guess how Baron Davis does this year and if he is open on returning with an extension of Dantoni would play key factors. If Baron Davis does return, I am not sure if Nash would be ideal at his age or a younger PG with speed/quickness, someone like Ramon Sessions would fit better?

As for a PF/C, KG would probably be my first option. With Camby and Ak47 being a close 2nd because all these players would be a great pairing to play with Tyson Chandler.
On top of it, it fills the need to play the center position when Chandler gets in foul trouble or gets rest on the bench.

Again, I think a lot of it will be determined by who will be coming to New York for a discount for a chance to compete for a ring. They are quite a few teams that can offer the opportunity of being contenders, so $ could be the deciding factor. Playing in MSG is a great opportunity that not all players like all the attention of. Some players like the spotlight and attention, while others might not like the pressure and media that comes along with it. Ultimately some other deciding factors will include

1) Whoever our coach will be, to pair with their philosophy

2) if Baron Davis plays well this year and would he return for something under the MLE. Like Felton, Baron Davis can increase his stats in Dantoni's system and if he does well, MLE money could be thrown at him by some teams.

3)how our players develop and perform this year, especially with Fields, TD, and Jorts

especially for Fields, he doesn't seem like hes worth using the MLE on, but if we can give him the bi annual exemption, acquire his bird rights, then revisit and extension...
But with if we had to choose between an Bi Annual exemption for Camby or Fields? Did we use our Bi Annual Exemption last year? Because I don't remember using it unless it was for MosGov, and we never mentioned using it this year yet. This strategy for keeping Fields could be used for Jorts as well, for the following year. 2nd round picks can be great for teams under the cap but for teams over the cap, it sucks if you can't keep the player you invested the money to groom and develop. Especially for us because we loss our depth in the deal for Melo and we have all our cap on 3 players.

I'm with Nalod, it's too far ahead for my brain right now.

But if not Allen, I would love to have some guy like Nash or Allen, some wily veteran with proven credentials, come here and sign, and give us that last straw.
