Why? We moved ahead in the standings. We learned that Shump should start. Melo is day to day at worst

A Win is a Win..You're not gonna blow every team out.

We didn't win that game. I would call that a non-loss.

then you didn't watch. it was shump's arrival. the team figured out how to play. it would have been significant even if they lost.

Knicks have to play foot loose and fancy free. Good ball movement and a few threes can devastate an opponent.

Bibby's streak won the game.

Don't Knock a road win against a desperate team with talent. They are a mess, but they won't go 0-66 and certainly 0-33 at home.

We were a perfect team for them to notch a win.

Melo carried this team but there was good team stretches and defense. Chandler had a big game. Jorts time was limited and he was more effective.

Excellent point.

It's not whether you win or lose. It's HOW you play the game.

... until March, that is.

It's HOW you play the game.

Other than a great 2nd half from one player (Shumpert), they played the game poorly and it was hard to watch. Melo started off great but then went back to being a chucker. 37 points on 37 shots plus turnovers makes me want to pull my hair out.

At least get your facts straight. Melo got 37 on 33 shots. He shot 16-33, a very good clip. In the 4th he missed a few in a row until winning the game for us HURT.

To continue to be down on Melo makes me think some people watch the games with the intention of finding something wrong with him. No one else is putting up shots. He has to take them. obviously you don't want anyone taking that many shots but that's the way it's working out right now.

Shumpert was very good. Melo was EXCELLENT and has been all year. Saw signs from Stat. To go down by 16 and get a win is a positive. Hopefully we found something last night to build off of. We're a different team when a guy with poise and vision is handling the PG duties.

I said 37 shots plus turnovers. Is it possible that I have my facts straight and you just didn't read carefully? I agree that Melo has been excellent this year, and that's why I started this thread acknowledging his play: http://ultimateknicks.com/forum/topic.asp?t=40366
I am harsh on Dolan's teams - and he's earned that harshness - but I go out of my way to be fair and give praise when appropriate.

Shots + Turnovers is the dumbest stat I've ever heard of.

You did say 37 pts on 37 shots, LOL. Your hate for Melo is blinding logic. You've nitpicked at his game eversince his arrival and its clear to anyone on this board who has been paying attention that you were one of the main one's ripping Melo upon his arrival here. Spare the "I made a Melo thread complimenting his play" nonsense. Thats like saying I having nothing against short people because I had "One" short person over to my house one time.

Wow, if you think I hate Melo, you should not read what the Denver fans who have seen his whole career say about him!

Are you really pissed off cause he said 37 shot instead of 33? All that noise for a 4 shots difference?

Man, you gave a new meaning to the word fanboy...

If you read everything I wrote you would realize my so-called "noise" is based on the history of his posts concerning said player. The thread title says "Melo hurt?" Not sure how/why "Said poster" brought up how many shots he took. This could have been posted in the game thread. I'm not a fan of MDA and have mentioned that I want him removed but I keep that in the "Fire MDA threads." Dont need to thread hop to post the same nonsense over and over.

BTW, "Fan-Boy?" what the F### is a fan boy? Is it one that defends his team or a person he is found of? If I'm in the ballpark, why are you jumping in to defend this poster? Are you a fan-boy of his because you agree with his point of view and you follow his posts and thats why you felt a need to defend a grown man who could defend himself and already did in this thread? Please clarify...

Come on, you know that threads don't stay on topic for my than a few posts. Have you never gone off topic? Or are you upset because I have a balanced, mostly positive evaluation of Carmelo rather than an unbalanced fully positive one?
