you really cant argue with this post.
I was anti Melo after the trade and he has changed his game so much since then.
However, Stat this year, seems to have took the dark hole in him to a Melo's level, which I didn't like last year.
Melo changed it slowly late last year and isn't that bad this year.
I am not sure if Stat was hurt by these trade rumors or if he wants a piece of the spotlight back.
He says he worked on his ball handle and 3s, also getting bigger, but hes trying too hard scoring.
We can only have 1 person that plays the "selfish mode"
That is Carmelo Anthony, no longer Stat, the offense no longer runs through him, and he has problems adjusting.
Last year Melo was the one that was the complete black hole while Amare was more willing to pass the ball.
This year it is the complete opposite.
I think Melo saw this when he was hurt for a couple of days last year, and the he saw his team mates moving the ball at the bench.
Anthony is very much willing to pass the ball this year and work it field.
He will take a bad shot or forcing 1 on 2/3 right in the defenders, taking bad shots.
The black hole in Amare this year is just as bad as Melo last year.
Once Stat touches the ball, he will try to score 95% once he touches the ball.
He doesn't have the range that Jorts has.
In fact hasn't been hitting his step behind free throw shots consistently either.
He is not using his team mates as a threat, he doesn't know how to move off the ball *besides to try to score*, but the spacing has changed with Tyson on the team.
He has to know when to crash, when to fight for position *instead of trying to jump for the rebound*, when to set screens for his team mates *not necessarily for a shot, sometimes just to earn them a step *and sometimes he hes to just stay back without crashing to prevent the fast break.
The PF is able to guard him much better, the Center can be the help defender as well.
Most importantly, teams are using the "black hole" treatment against him, with our inability to penetrate in the paint.
