I'm going to just give the Knicks the benefit of the doubt that last night was an aberration or even a trap game. I didn't see anyone playing with any real intensity, as if they felt they could win with 1/4 of the effort. The team wasn't focused. Despite how poorly the team looked I KNOW they can play far better than they did last night so i'm expecting a better performance from them.

Even if TD isn't a great setup man, still the team could function better than that on offense. Also MDA has to get his act together too. He has no rotation at this point. I know it's super early and he hasn't had the usual time to set a rotation that he knows can work, but some of those lineups were putrid last night. My guess was he also was using that game as a test game, figuring they could pull it out at the end. GS really wasn't that good. The Knicks just stunk and gave that game to them. Lakers are bigger and slower and don't have blazingly quick PG's, so no excuses.

You're never as bad as you look when you lose miserably,
and you're never as good as you look when you trounce somebody.

I'm HOPING that the guys have talked last night's debacle out among themselves
and have made the required adjustments in preparation and attitude
for tonight's match up against the Lakers. It's on you, too, .

If I don't see THAT taken to the court from the opening tap,
then I'll believe that there's no pride and no sense
of comradery on this team and I'll suggest to misterearl that we move
the panic button from yellow to orange. Ouch.

I am hopeful the Knicks will bounce back but realistic that we have a very thin front line. If Chandler gets in foul trouble we are done.

Melo and Amare need to stop shooting the ball and penetrate more, that won't happen until we have a PG who can spread the floor.

I think our role players are still pretty weak for a team that is supposed to be contending. We still need a few more pieces before this team is legit. Maybe its just a growth thing and some of these players can step up, I hope so. But I am concerned that we may still be a few players away from being the real deal. Maybe Shump and Bdiddy are those guys but that's pinning a lot of expectations on a rookie and a question mark.

I don't think I've seen a SG crossed up so many time as Fields was against GS. He fell like 3 or 4 times. His footwork or anticipation is atrocious.

Both guys are being asked to do too much. They are both ideal backups not starters.

Douglas off the bench as a scorer would be solid for us. Fields backing up the SF spot would be solid too. Douglas/Fields as playmakers is a turnover waiting to happen.

And how many times is Fields gonna toss a lazy cross-court pass in the direct path of multiple defenders? My god that's awful.

I hate that ****ing skip pass. They actually teach that in HS. Drives me crazy. I keep telling my son and daughter that if I were playing and somebody did that, I would have a lot of steals cause that is the easiest pass to intercept.

so I have mental picture of a Philippine guy sitting on his couch in boxes telling his kids about playing basketball, "So of course I'd have to put shorts on and not be in super comfy mode, but I'd NEVER, EVER make a skip pass like that. You 2 taking notes? Pass the snacks please."

You forgot the fact that I am 6'1" and 250 lbs. Now put that in your memory banks..Partnah!

lol it's bad when i was coming on here to post the same exact thing. td is really forcing things, he's shooting too much, he's taking poor shots. he just needs to focus on playing defense and setting up melo and amar'e. nothing else. if he has an opportunity with a good % play then he should go for it, but please stop forcing things.

Melo throwing passes into the lane and he is connecting ! Lakers are fouling us everytime that happens. At least we are shooting free-throws!

yeah, like the way the offense looks so far. even toney had a nice drive to the lane and dish to amar'e for a 3. that's the kind of three i'm okay with.

Wow little motion in our offense. They'll let us shoot jumpers like this all day.
