Lin vs curry (old teammates)
Amare vs Lee (traded for eachother)
JJ vs Kwame brown (Worst big guys of each conference)

Curry out for this game.... read it somewhere.

I think I saw that he mildly sprained the same ankle in consecutive games... giving him a night off would be prudent

Curry has been playing out of his mind. I think he had 10 boards last night. Knicks catch a break.

Our only way to win was to outscore a team that tries to outscore its opponents as well, because of D'antoni's lack of defensive priority.

I'm glad Tyson is here to change that style of basketball.

It wasn't a lack of priority! As you actually pointed out, it's the presence of TYSON that makes the difference. When has Mike had a Center like Tyson in his history in the NBA? Yeah that's right NEVER! Now the big issue isn't Tyson, but our weakness in the Backcourt. No Iman and just TD and Bibby could be a problem trying to slow down Ellis and Curry. That's what concerns me most about this game. How do we slow these guys down?

Its time for you to start working on getting Mike a new deal.

It's 1 game, anything less than the conference finals, and phil jackson is here next yr

Honestly, and ONLY if it came to that because I'm feeling pretty good about
and the entire staff lately, IMO I'd rather have JEFF VAN GUNDY back at the helm
(if he would bury the hatchet)....but I'm sure that many here would rather have Phil.

I don't like the prospect of having prima donna Phil choose us when we might finally have all of the pieces in place (what exactly has he done positive for us up until now) as opposed to giving the blue collar Van Gundy a well-deserved chance at his FIRST championship if he were willing to come back.

Best case scenario, our players thrive under MDA and staff for the next four years....(It's really HIS job to lose or leave)

Alternate scenario, IMHO, Van Gundy>>>>>Phil Jackson FOR OUR TEAM AS CONSTRUCTED.

Sorry if I got off topic here, guys.

I hear what you are saying, and I like Van Gundy. Either one is welcome

Van Gundy is cool, but if it's not Mike it has to be Phil Jackson. He has a way with the star players. He will Zen them.

I want to give D'Antoni a chance, but he's got to get better with his rotations...if we sputter though, gotta look for a new coach next year.

Van Gundy would be a bad fit for a team with star power. Plus I don't see him ever working for Dolan again. If MDA is let go it will be for Phil Jax only

It's on NBA-TV according to the schedule I see. 10:30pm Hope there is no overtime... it already will last past my bed time.

I have the Knicks on MSG until the ball drops. If MSG pulls the channel I'm going to flip my lid.

THIS DATE IN KNICKS HISTORY

December 28, 2005: For the first time in team’s recorded day-by-day history (1964-65), no Knicks starter scores in double figures as New York absorbs second straight wire-to-wire loss, in 105-95 defeat at Orlando. Eddy Curry scores 29 points and Jamal Crawford adds 24 points off the bench.

From the game media notes:
http://www.nba.com/knicks/news/notes.pdf

Points for the starters, just for kicks:
D. Lee 0
A. Davis 5
J. James 4
Q. Richardson 6
S. Marbury 5 (in 39 minutes!)

We've been through dark times, Knicks fans. I'm (cautiously) hyped!

Say What?

"NO it is not. D'antoni has been put in a WIN NOW situation."

Hold UP NYY1NYK2 - Who exactly, put Mike D'Antoni in a "WIN NOW" situation?

Has there been some ultimatum, or statement to that effect, issued from Dolan? ... why? ... he is the only one signing the check.

Anything else is typical New York rumor and innuendo.
