![]() I remember during the draft I was praying we land someone like Keith Benson.
I was one to quickly doubt the pick. He was one of the leaders in blocked shots with a frame similar to a young Camby. How many others had my same reaction? How many have changed feelings? Anyone though we could have probably picked up Jorts with an invite? Possibly locking him in for more than 2 years? Anyone still think Benson could be a nice shot blocker we could use over Jorts now? I personally like the way Jorts look and give him lots of respect from going to an obese college player to now a pro in training. |

![]() Gotta love this kid.

![]() How many times will Knicks fans be wrong about one of our draft picks? We stunk in the past but overall the Knicks have been much better at finding talent late in the draft. Most of our success have been guys that no one was really looking at or touting too highly. Chandler, TD, Lee, Fields, Iman and Jorts have all surprised people.

![]() Jordan Hill seems to be the biggest bust for Donnie Walsh's picks.
While we never gave him time to fully develop either. Coming in, he was ranked high and fell off charts to us, has the size to be an Amare, Bosh, Aldridge, or a Kwame Brown. We expected too much of him and he didn't grow as fast as we hoped. But he still has a chance to become a serviceable player in Houston. Like many of our Isiah like picks, we were praying to land a savior. |

![]() Okur in the Detroit era, seems to be the most similar player comparable with Jorts.
It's too early to judge him but I like what I have seen in the preseason. Okur had a toughness to go inside, sweet 3pointer, grabbing some rebounds, and play some tough defense. It seems Josh could be better in the rebounding department and athleticism vs Okur. He has been hurt pretty much since he got his big contract from Utah and lost that toughness, desire, and rebounding went down. He fell in love with the 3pointer and didn't too much, when he did play. |
