Pacers get Amundson Douglas Warriors get Balkman Fields Knicks get Collison Rush
I think the Jazz will cut either Watson Reynolds Tinsley MCleod or amnesty Harris
Collison Bogans Melo Stat Chandler
Tinsley Shumpert Rush Jorts Jeffries
Collison is a pretty good point guard and on a low salary. Although George Hill is a good combo guard, I don't see Pacers letting him go with that Rookie deal.
They look like they are one or 2 pieces away to become legit contenders. They will have to decide who will be their core with
Hibbert 2year 6.2m with last year being QO ****
PF
Granger 3year 40m ****
SG
Collison 3year 7m ***
SG? George Hill or have him at the 6th man role 2year 5.2m, last year is QO **
PF/F Hansbrough 3year 9m, last year is QO **
Paul George
Brandon Rush 4year 13m, with last year being QO, not sure if he is traded or not yet... *
James Posey 1year 7m (think he is amnestied but not sure)
Dahntay Jones 2year 4.6m with last year being a QO
Aj Price 1year 900k
Lance Stephonson 1year 800k
Pacers
Realistically, I don't think our future 1st round picks are worth much value at this point. Players like Collison, should receive a package of young players or packaged for
a "star" to add to the core. Collison did great his year where he took over the PG spot and filled in for Cp3's injury and next years recovery. I think, feeling threatened for his job, Cp3 made New Orleans choose between Collison and him. Cp3 didn't want any rumors of his losing PT or slow recovery, losing value when he knew he was going to opt out and
going for a new contract at the time. Hibbert, Rush, George Hill, and Dahntay Jones all have qualifying offers next year with Jones having a player option.
A core of Hibbert, Granger, Collison, and a 6th player in Hill is actually pretty talented. However, these days, the trios or combination of all stars and stars,
makes this lineup look weaker than it actually is. Hibbert is a young talented center, in which teams don't look give up easily.
With this years centers getting their big pay day, you can expect Hibbert and McGee to follow in their peers footsteps. After Dwight Howard, Tim Duncan, Chris Kaman, and Marcus Camby
Hibbert and McGee both are the youngest of the FA, with still room to improve, vs the experience of the veterans in FA in the summer. In my opinion, their talents, size, and potential are around the same level of Marc Gasol and Deandre Jordan. Their games are different but their results are similar, someone will open the wallets up
for a chance to acquire their talents. With this summer, being a strong draft, the Pacers and Wizards both will need to observe and decide to keep their centers
or to use this strong draft to continue rebuilding. Pacers have some nice pieces around them, with salary cap room, and picks coming up, with this year being a strong draft.
Whether they will decide to build around this core, make some tweaks, or deal Hibbert/Granger for picks/young players will have to be decided...
