He and Brandon Knight were very good.I see Jorts as a sort of Mike Doleac/Scott Pollard type for this team. Which is fine off the bench.
I think he's more skilled than those guys but not quite as big. I see him as a better Brian Cardinal or Malik Rose. His regular rotation will be 10-12 minutes off the bench where he will get you 4-5 boards, score a bucket and bang inside.
BUT
ESPECIALLY this year with this nutty schedule he's the kind of guy that will give you some spot starts or 30+ minute games because Amare's turned an ankle, Chandler's in four trouble, etc etc normal NBA season stuff. He's a guy who knows his role and he's going to enjoy playing his part.
One of my favorite moments was Jorts was doing some super fancy dribbling around two little kids after the Sunday open practice. One was Melo's son and Jorts and Melo seems chummy and to enjoy a couple laughs (probably laughing about Bonn's comments).
Its NICE to count on role players to be role players. Not hoping and praying every 2nd round pick on the roster is going to be next undiscovered star in order to have a .500 season.
