The Knicks are desperate for another bench player, especially with sixth man Billy Walker missing the past four practices with a groin strain.

Sixth man? Do they mean off the bench?

I'm not too impressed by Outlaw. I think I'd rather wait it out and sign Baron when healthy(or as others have brought up, one of the Chinese Nuggets when they've served their time).

In the mean time, I'm hopeful that we can take a chance on a couple D-League swing men, and see if one can provide anything off the bench and be our new Shawne.

Wow. Walker was considered the sixth man? I am back to wondering what is up with the coach.

I think MDA should start Bibby and play TD off the bench as the sixth man. It doesn't mean that Bibby is better than Douglas.

I don't see him clearing waivers. He was pretty highly thought of around the league before he went to Jersey.

One issue though, is I believe is someone claims him on amnesty, it's a four-year commitment. They have to commit for the life of his contract. Nets waived him one year into a five year deal. So, I think the way it works is that any team that claims him - say they win with a bid of $2M. they owe $2M per year, no matter what happens. They have to pay the full contract and the Nets reimburse that team, but less whatever they bid.

So, actually, on second thought, maybe no one claims him at 4 years.

Didn't realize Outlaw is entering his 9th season in the league. I always think of him as a really young guy.

Dude is 26 yrs old and is an ideal role player. The guy isn't starter material but is nice off the bench.

yeah, i figured someone would claim him. though i think it's a four year commitment, but he's a young-ish veteran.

i just want the knicks to sign baron.

landry can be the backup 3. jorts might be able to cover the backup 4.

IS Humphries a real possibility? He IS still out there. I thought he had a good year with the Nets.

thought he was overrated and just stuffed stats on a wretched nets team.

though, it'd be hilarious, if the knicks claimed him, kim kardashian would probably wanna get back together. that phoney marriage might've ruined his career. seems like people are avoiding him.

reggie evans is out there i think, if we want a rebounder. though i like jorts.
